My point is that boxing isn't about pitting fighter against fighter these days. More about picking fights to maximise the money and even fixing fights So for example I know kindelan was paid to lose to khan when he went pro. Khan would have stayed top if he hadn't started being a knob and thinking he made it and getting sparked out in the process. What I would give for fighters like Duran hagler hearns etc
I am currently sitting on my owninan isolation ward getting treatment for what they think is a probable case of scarlet fever .
He he . And I'm on my own in an isolation ward , they have to knock and ask if they can come in. Back in a while....
Yeah this is one thing boxing can learn from UFC. If you lose a fight in boxing you are set back ****ing miles, being undefeated is such a big deal that people won't want to risk it. UFC the top guys fight each other pretty regularly so very few (if any? I don't really follow UFC) are undefeated. The problem with heavyweight is Joshua is so far ahead of everyone else that it is hard to really judge how good he is. Eddie Hearn will be bricking it now because I reckon Dillyan Whyte becomes Wilder's mandatory challenger for his belt and he will beat Wilder. So Wilder can either vacate the belt (won't happen as they want a unification fight between him and Joshua) or fight Whyte and probably lose which also ****s up any chance of Wilder v Joshua. It would set up a Whyte Joshua rematch though which would make Hearn £££, just not as much as Wilder would. Haven't heard much about the actual fight of the year so far, Gassiev v Usyk. Should be a really good fight, but no **** is talking about it as they are too pre occupied wondering how a bum like Parker is going to do or whether Haye and Bellew will be any good
... good point ... Joshua is fighting one of the 2 'other' world champions ... personally I think he will likely win, but Parker is no journeyman dummy for sure, and AJ will have to take some serious shots himself in this one, ... could be a good test IMHO
