I see what you are saying mate, its something I find interesting tbh as I firmly believe that a lot of kids may not be where you were in terms of wanting to become the person they were becoming but would benefit from someone giving a **** and the discipline
Maybe a short term thing just to instill an ethos but again I'm not sure as all it would take is some who just refuse to get on board and it would all go wrong. It's not like they can give you a slap anymore either.
It's a nice idea in principal. But it's not a day out backpacking and eating marshmallow over a bonfire Units like the marines and paras have a massive failure % alrady. They dont need people who dont want to be there. The standards would plummet.
See for me I think there are wasted opportunities for folk in general. I am a firm believer in youth being volatile not knowing what they want and before you know it you're in a rut with no way out and very few work their way out of it. So maybe a compulsory thing like that with training in trade skills etc would benefit Not all but definitely betwr than seeing 16-19 year olds wasting away
Even at my level as regular forces you have to accept the discipline and have to want to change, the higher levels like Marines etc take a lot more dedication.
Well I'm smashed. Been with my best mate who is a bit of a conspiracy theorist. So far tonight I've learned Donald trump is our saviour. The rothchilds are being taken down.. they are also responsible for child trafficking in cahoots with the clintons and the rothchilds mates are responsible for abducting maddie. Also trump is taking down the Saudi royal family .
Yeah mate I accept only the really committed would even try to get into the marines etc But say 2 years training for those who are not looking to go college or work etc as privates in the regulars or something
12 out of 55 originals make it in one go (3 off us young'uns) The lot before us had 9 made it. Massive amount of money, trying to get them through it
I worked with some French lads out in Saudi who were conscripts and they were ****ing useless and didn't want to be there. Got told to take 2 out on patrol with me one night and refused, wasn't having some lazy scrote watching my back. I get where you're coming from though but don't think it would work.
Yeah I get that and that side is something I wouldn't know too much about. As I kid I went to what was in essence a military school. I was only young so about 5ish (in my dads homeland but English run) and although for a short time I always learnt to dress smart, for example. It stuck with me throughout my life. Especially when trousers were the norm. I would have a crease that would cut you Might sound daft but looking at how kids dress today
