Looking for a new car for the missus. Went to see a VW Polo today. I'd done my homework and asked all the relevant questions Does it have any faults or issues that need attention ? Does everything work as it should, electrics, windows, doors, locks, AC, Radio etc etc. What sort of service history has it got, when was the cambelt last changed, when was it last serviced etc etc. Yeah all good the seller tells me. 12 months mot. Turn up and this thing is a bag of ****. The bonnet doesn't line up with the wing, neither does the boot. Every panel has a dink, dent or scrape on it and there is rust all along the sills. Take a look under the bonnet and there is an air intake pipe missing, battery cover missing, some other electrical stuff with no cover on, undertray is missing, barely any fluid in the expansion tank. As soon as I start it up the engine management light comes on and so does the DPF light. Matey is then trying to tell me, Oh it just needs a little bit of TLC I'm open to offers Yeah how about you offer me the cost of my fuel to drive over here and view this pile of **** Ya ****.
St David's Day tomorrow so Welsh Cakes on the bar and the choir and giving it some bit it's packed so can't really hear them.
Mother in law will be making her Welsh cakes tonight, be around tomorrow handing them out, she does a decent job tbf.
Always found them to be hit and miss, when you buy in the shops in Wales, they always seemed a bit dry, but get them from a cafe or cake shop, they're nice and moist, fresher I suppose. Prefer Barra Brith personally
