Was having a WhatsApp convo with, I think, @Sweats and another dude, and I mentioned neat gin.

Stay with me! There's one called Monkey 47 that is a genuinely nice sipping gin. It's better mixed, but it's perfectly OK neat.

 

Yeah it's not the best but mixing and it's fine, it was one of my first decent dark runs but one you start with the decent stuff you realise it's not great. Better than that Barty **** Swansea produce though.

 

Southern Comfort is like the Bumbu of the bourbon world spend a bit more and you'll get a great bourbon.

 

Had some gin liqueur last week.

That was fuking delicious tbh and no mixer

 

I've no clue what any of that means bro, bumbu/bourbon

 

Depth Charge spiced rum is very good.
A little more money but excellent is Rumbullion spiced, their chilli chocolate one is a superb winter drink.
Was given a bottle of Chairman's reserve for Christmas but not tried it yet.

Southern Comfort had a sweetness to it which is why it's quite nice and why you prefer it to the **** that is JD. A lot of rum and bourbon makers try this middle ground where it's a bit too sweet but better than the old man crap that's your average whiskey or rum. Spend a little more and you'll find something a little in-between, good alcohol kick but a sweetness and other flavours going on as well. Doesn't have to be silly expensive but paying that bit more can be worth it.

 

Chairman's is decent and if you like that then definitely try the Ell Dorado I posted earlier.

Mrs Chief out in Cardiff watching Hamilton, which is some ****e 'hip hop' style musical with a American Revolution based fictional bollocks story premise.

My daughter is out at a party/sleepover and my sons don't sit in the same room as me on a Saturday night, so I have been watching a mix of the womens downhill skiing from Cortina, some Pink Floyd docu stuff on Sky Arts, and recordings if Triple D.

There genuinely wasn't a film I could be arsed to watch.

 

Never had it. My eldest was given some and the glass came with it.

The glass is excellent, large and toughened. You can get nearly a pint of beer in it.

Watching Civil War on Amazon, seems okay.

 

Not had Southern Comfort in years, use to love that stuff....makes me want a bottle now lol.
