... I feel your pain - must be about 5 years ago that one of my cousins persuaded us (the male cousins - there are 7 of us) and a couple of mates to come to Leicester to watch a The Cult tribute band - had to wait right to the end of the deafening set for 'She Sells Sanctuary' ... which was the only ****ing song any of us knew - although we were all comfortably pissed by then ...
I went to see the actual Cult a few weeks back, and it was pretty much exactly that. Although for She Sells, Ian Astbury just repeated the word Sanctuary over and over while Billy Duffy played a very elaborate and impressive solo, he never sang the actual words. I only vaguely knew about three songs. Billy Duffy is a proper musician though.
7 different lagers that all taste the same and not one gay flower beer. I had one Guinness and drove. Mrs luv happy with that
Well I managed to survive. Even though what they played wasn’t my cup of tea, I did appreciate how good they were as musicians. They had a Nirvana tribute band as a support act, and frankly they were proper ****. That’s was an hour and a bit of my life I won’t get back!
Being dragged off to get a tree and various other Christmas nonsense. I'll deserve a beer after this.
Just a had a cracking meal at Gino D’campio’s restaurant on the Strand, London. To be expected, but London was mental.
