Morning. Pissing down in Exeter. Nice place though. No one seems to speak like they do in Plymouth. All sound like they’re from Surrey.
shes just a bit banged up it would help if i could get her to take some painkillers but she doesn't like taking pills as she has a reduced swallow function .
I've never tried them but maybe get in some soluable paracetamol. Hope the ambulance crew checked her over properly, I know I shouldn't doubt them but it's always a concern if you picked up some sort of fracture, particularly in the hips.
tbf they seemed pretty thorough and did say they would take her to hospital for an x-ray to check but she turned that down . They did have a senior with them advising them who seemed to know his stuff .
Excellent mate regarding the crew, I shouldn't doubt them really. I had an elderly relative from the other halfs side who had a fall once, they lived alone but had one of those call buttons round their neck, so I ended up getting the emegency call to go and check on them, wasn't a good outcome, thankfully I didn't move them, as it was more serious than it looked, and more serious than their stubboness of wanting to get up - I was more stubborn and told them to stay where they were lol.
had that with the Mrs last night but i refused to even try and get her back on the sofa until she had been checked over
I only know one person that lives in Exeter and they're originally from Guildford, so you could well be right about that.
I take soluble disprin (dispersible) as part of heart meds - pop 'em in a glass of wine - goes down ss easy as a scouse girl in benidorm ...
daughter asked for one, but the monthly fee is shocking. Silly that I can’t add her to an account of mine and have a pre paid card for her.
Yeah seems ridiculous now it has been explained to me by you guys. What was I expecting/hoping...a card that could be used as pocket money that I gave to my grandkid, that I had access to the balance and ability to top up from my own account, with no charge. The benefit to the bank is a ready made customer in a decades time. I know I'm all for cash, but it don't mean I have to pass my own stubborness on to future generations, they make their own choices, but as always banks seem to want their cake and eat it, greedy fookers (or whatever the saying is). I already give him sweets/biscuits, and his mum and dad have a plenty of money for his other needs, I just wanted something as a little private transaction between him and me, that personal touch, and at the same time encourage them to make choices between what you might want, against the benefits of saving it at a young age. Oh well the thought was well intentioned.
