Morning. Off now for Xmas. Got a really ****y email off one of the sales team moaning about his targets at 3pm yesterday with half the world copied in and his boss already agrees with me. Stupid ****. Deal with it in January.
Last day for me. Was at one of the manufacturing sites yesterday and the workshop was as empty as a Saturday morning. Office is 25% manned this week so basically eating toast and drinking tea on Sofa
its the shame game …people hate being called out in front of an audience….he’s probably already got another job before posting it
Jut back home from another long ass day on the markets. December has been good to me and I've been making some decent coin Teamed up with a little hottie who sells wine and Port etc and we've done a Christmas collab together. Nice company and making good sales, what's not to like .... Got three more markets before it all falls of a cliff at xmas and then have the lean months until the Spring, where I intend to take some time for me out on the bike and in the Sea.
My last day too off for Xmas now I've got enough money to last me til about Feb anyways so can kinda go back when I want You gonna smash it then?
Yeah my money has to see me through until April really when it all kicks off again. That has to pay the mortgage, the bills, feed my family etc so I have to earn a wedge in Dec to see me through. And no, she was asking me to go out partying with her the other night, which was tempting, but I'd just land myself in a whole world of trouble lol.
Couple of nice aspects about the new job - get 2 'well being' days on top of annual leave allowance plus they also give you the days between Xmas and New Year off too ...
Shortest day is tomorrow this year apparently I hope you'll be performing some pagan rituals like me to celebrate the solstice
I think most office based London jobs generally get all of Christmas off, all members of my family (barring one) will be off for the same period, and they are all London based. The only downside of London is the commute, but these days since covid, people can quite often work from home for a number of days a week as you know. The wages are fantastic, even allowing for commuting costs, the tax deductions you get hit with not so lol.
I did wonder if it changed by a day or two. I just generallly tend to use the 21st December and the 21st June as markers and I know I'm there or thereabouts.
that happened when football sold its arse for tv was always gonna be more about the money there after……..be careful what you desire init
