Assumed it would be like the States. Only ever been to Calgary and spent all my time walking through the heated underground passages that connect all the office buildings or shivering in my hotel room. It was -15 during the day.
Talking of drinks not massively impressed with that box of wine, the Pillastro was by far the best and the Portugese red was decent, I didn't like Rioja or the Opi Malbec and the Shiraz was just okay. There was a French one which was decent. Anyway looked at Laithwaites and it was the same box so called them and they did me a box of their best selling black reds for £5.42 a bottle with a Magnum of Pillastro thrown in.
The black reds are generally decent wines. I think Rioja as gone from being one of the best wines to one of the poorest within the last 10 years, not sure if it's the climate affecting the grapes or more likely the fact it is being mass produced now, even old favourites have become very meh, so much so, can't remember the last one's I bought. STWC, used to do a great mix at around a tenner, that's gone ****e now too.
Top hill that one. Lots of midgies. Which side you go from, Capel Curig? Couple of tidy boozers that side!
Yes Capel Curig, checked and the pubs are opening at 3pm. Any you recommend? Been recommended the Stables to eat.
