    Anyone got/into tattoos?

I'm not really but I do have an old one from when I was young on my shoulder that is now faded and looks crap. I'm only concious of it when I'm in holiday and, seeing various tatts on other people by the pool and stuff, am thinking of a cover up one.

Anyone into that stuff? Or should I just ignore it's there and put up with it?

I do this every time I'm on holiday.

Not a fan of tatts. Think so many people must regret them. Old men with sleeve tatts won't be a cool look!

The good thing about this is it isn't visible ordinarily.
I'd never have one on my arm or anything.

I've seen some good designs that would vastly improve my faded Lancashire rose though! Can't lie, it looks ****e now.

Tatts have advanced off the scale since mine was done.

My friend in Hua Hin has a full sleeve, he is an ex sailor and he's 65. His still looks good.

Can't ****ing stand them. The current trend for both sexes to be covered in them will result in an explosion in the laser removal business in the next decade, when they get a bit older and realise that they look ****e and the visible ones can be socially inhibiting.

I don't disagree with any of that.

There's this one woman, Dutch I think but could be German, has this thing across her chest and then loads of random ones on her arms and legs.

    She's about 45.
It doesn't look good, at all.

That said, there are still some really nice stand alone designs I've seen.

When they're fresh a good quality tattoo can look good, but with skin ageing and time they all end up looking pretty ****

Men can get away with it, as long as they're not on hands, neck or ****ing face! But ageing tattoos on women always look awful imo.

Don't like 'em myself and would never have one. Particularly don't like 'em on women.

And yes, I think a lot of people are going to regret what they've had done in 10-20 yrs time.

No tattoos are the new tattoos...it's too common now and people go out of their way to show themselves off but i do admire some of the art work out there and it's always fun smashing a tattooed mature

I know this plonker at work who has a Bat man sleeve..why? Because he's a fan <doh> everyone is a fan you fuking knob.

This other bloke has got one of Jack the Ripper's shadow with a few old buildings and a clock tower, a newspaper...it's a collage...why? Because he saw someone else with it on FB and thought it was cool...eeediat.

I don't like slag tags on bitches lower backs...how ****ing common...but a little sexy touch of ink here or there is cool.

I think our boy Sky has got one similar to his avatar..that will be cool no doubt and is personal to him and his lifestyle, I get that. If I had one it would have to be personal and well thought out indeed.

I've got three mates, all with full sleeves. They're more or less competing with one another. Daft old gits.

One has Ian Cutis singing as part of his. No idea why, he isn't and never was into Joy Division. Similarly, the Banksie with a girl holding balloons.

    Why?
    Wouldn't have a clue.

I will incorporate an Owl into mine of I do get it done.

    ****ing love Owls.
