He is, there neeeds to be more like him who are fully in the American spotlight and relevant saying this, over and over, until someone listens.
I hope the video gets out there and people start to support his stance. Something tells me it won't though.
Nowt will change, I was watching the news on the mass shooting last night, and during an interview with an American woman, it is their democratic right to bear arms. Couldn't make that shhite up sometimes.
The Right to Bear Arms was drafted at a time when what was available was a low powered and inaccurate flintlock pistol or musket which was only useful in self defence at close quarters The real issue now is when an 18 yr old can be bought a pair of Military Standard assault rifles with Military Standard ammo without any need to justify the purchase If they dont want to repeal the act in total then it should be amended to allow only low powered hand guns for self defence for non military or police use
I agree with you by the way mate. Sadly once people get an ideology in their head ie right to bear arms, there is no convincing them otherwise. But more to support your point, I think the domestic terrorist had only turned 18 something like a week prior, so was able to go buy a gun. What a fooked up ideology.
That was the point it is not so much that you can buy a gun but the sort of gun that you can buy that defies description, I have to say that if I was still working in London and walking to the train station after dark I would like to have a gun to defend myself from the mad bastards who want to stab anyone who they think is in their territory
The Second amendment reads A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. but everyone seems to ignore the well regulated militia part . Personally have no idea why people think they need a gun unless it is for "work" purposes i.e. farmers and the like
He’s not criticising the law to have a gun, just that there needs to be some kind of background check to be able to get one, which there obviously should be. I think one of the main fears over there is if they say “right guns are illegal now, everyone hand them over” then loads of criminal Sucky types will keep hold of them and then go **** everyone up when they’re unarmed
And also what type of gun. To allow an kid just turned eighteen the opportunity to buy an assault rifle is utterly insane, and they will not allow a vote to do anything about this. If half the population wants to maintain their right to bear arms, then they should go back to the type of firearm that was around when that law was made. Then they can protect themselves with their musket or small pistol or whatever, not military grade weaponry ffs.
All just kicked off 'live' during a news conference into the massacre. Think it was someone from the anti gun lobby, made to leave. That's the thing, America dosen't want to listen, and it will happen again, and again, and again.
And the thing that irks me. They do have waiting periods, and checks, and registering, if you buy from a gun store. But they have frequent "gun shows" that roam from town to town, and none of the usual waiting periods, background checks to see if you can legally own a gun, registering the firearm, etc, is required at a gun show. Any Tom, Duck, or Harry can walk into a gun show and buy a high-powered weapon. (Not correcting the autocorrect there) Gun shows are not regulated at all. Certainly not a "well-regulated Militia".
