Yeah you’re right mate, I think it’s one of those things you don’t truly ‘get’ until you’ve experienced it. Amazing feeling.
Also the next generation to keep the family going forward and you always hope each generation does well
Where you thinking of going skiing Chief ? We're struggling with our 14 year old due to covid vaccine requirements etc…hopefully something will give and we can do Feb or April. It will be 2 years next week since my last ski day and getting pretty desperate to get back out there. Tignes booked for Xmas 2022 but that seems way off.
He's on cash incentives as well. £20 for an A. From both us, and his grandparents have jumped on it as well, so he's done well first up. Hopefully gives him something to aim for when he does the rest.
France as well. Grand Bornand. It's been booked for a while, it was only yesterday confirmed they'd let us in! Our booking was rolled over from last year. Between us, we've got five 12-17 year olds, unvaccinated (they need two). We think it'll be as per current Pass Sanitere requirements, so they'll have to do an LFT at a chemist every ****ing day to access the lifts and bars. Hopefully it'll go smoothly. Rumours coming back that they aren't very stringent, so we'll case it by paying first couple of days and then see if we can miss a couple of days if they are lax checking.
i forgot it's wales. 20 quid there is like a million quids. In all seriousness, i bet you're proud and that will help him get to the uni he wants. Birmingham sounds ****, you'll be commuting everyday or lodging for the week?
For kids 12-15 is it 2 jabs only or do they need to have had the booster as well ? My boy is due his 2nd early Feb.
It's not actually in Birmingham, it's outside to the east, so a bit rural. I really can't be arsed working and so having to stay in a city like Birmingham in the week. I can't drive every day though, no. Give you a hint, Chief will be delivering pizzas for just eat over the next 18 months.
You'll be fine then. They need two jabs, not booster. Adults don't even need booster as far as I'm aware, two is deemed vaccinated. I hope it all relaxes a bit more over the next few weeks. I think it'll be quiet though, so if we can get our tests booked in an orderly way, we should be fine. Kids aren't in ski school so they won't be in that morning rush hour.
Only his first GCSE, a bit of a way off Uni yet. A good first step though, if he gets decent GCSE's he gets to stay at 6th form for his A levels (if he goes down that route), rather than having to go to college and mix with all those unfamiliar nasty teenage girils!
