Been a good holiday so far but had decent weather, not as good as abroad though there is a difference.
Went to Cardiff yesterday French place for lunch then Indian Street food in the evening. Other than that been going to local places of interest for walks and pub lunches and the odd beer.
Days just chilling with a long lazy lunch are boss, especially if you’re in a City and it’s during the working week so most others are chasing their arse. Something doubly satisfying about it lol.
Yes, we always go on weekdays it's a more chilled experience. Got a few more places lined up it has been good finding some local gems.
Sounds nice dude. I done loads when i went to kent recently, do e all the local towns, few museums, broke into a bank vault, bought some souvenirs, caught some fish, made some nice memories... but mostly enjoyed the peace and quiet of being out of london tbh.
Going local has been fun, don't get me wrong I'd rather be doing this in Barcelona but it has been good.
We should be going away next Saturday, instead will be sticking around. Few things locally until next Wednesday (well, DIY and golf really) when we head to Little Haven. Then off to Whitesands/St David's for five nights and then Freshwater East on the way back for three nights. Will make a change, but can't say I think it'll be anything like a holiday that heading off into France and Spain is. Got to book some pub slots along the way, buy a SUP between now and then. Do some water sports and walking etc. Bet it pisses down for two weeks.
Same way they teach a Z list "celebrity" to dance on Strictly Come Dancing only with less cruelty involved
Entertainment in the village this morning. Some lad was pissed off the police turned up at his house so he turned the gas appliances on and stood at the front door with a blowtorch
Nah the Police don't open fire around here, mate. If they do it'll be a rubber bullet to the leg or some ****. Incredibly rare to hear about anything like that happening, though. I'm hearing more of the story now. Apparently they went out for a welfare call and the bloke went mad when they turned up. He has a licence for firearms which he has signed off every year so he's lost that now. They ended up tasering him and he's got a pacemaker fitted. I think he's alright though, it obviously could have been a lot worse.
Popo go round to tell him to keep the noise down and he ends up being microwaved and zipped up in a bag for life
Just wondered if he’d blown himself up, but yeah the old bill will taser first if they can. Many moons ago I used to work in mental health and got called to a domestic disturbance, accompanied by the local constable and DVO. Apparently our ‘welfare check’ must have pissed him right off, because later that night he first threatened his wife with a shotgun, then when her screaming alerted neighbours, he went into the street and started threatening to shoot everybody Then then triggered a full armed response by which time he’d legged it into the woods, so helicopter scrambled and full K-9 unit to track him down. Stupid **** got tangled up on some barbed wire and got his leg and arm chewed up by a hungry Alsatian
