Football training starts tomorrow with my new team for the upcoming season. I can't sleep because I'm so excited.
Kind of want to play in midfield now so I can have more influence on the games but I was asked to sign because they didn't score many goals last season. I'm a striker, mate. Getting a bit old for it all now, though. I think I'm expected to help with coaching and bringing the young lads on which is fine by me. I'll not be able to play as many minutes anyway and I want to finish my coaching badges off so the club will sort that out for me.

Watching my youngest play rugby, really don't get it as a sport but it's more organised and more together than grass roots football.
Rugby League who split about 100 years ago as RU was amateur and they wanted to make some dosh . League is basically a muddy version of NFL or more accurately NFL is a clean version of RL ,
I'm bored out of my mind watching it but at least they all play as a team instead of all the slagging each other off you see in football.
Yeah but they also drink each others piss out of a boot and **** each other off in the changing rooms, just for a laugh. Swings and roundabouts my friend.
