Right lads I wanna get away for 3 days with the Mrs and the girls, I want luxury but not a hotel so I’m thinking a lodge of some sort, but where? Anywhere within 2-3 hours preferably (of Manchester). I’ll pay whatever it takes tbh, but looking for recommendations from people, not a game of who can find the biggest castle for sale on google.
Mrs car got delivered back to us today from the insurers. Obviously the contents of the car were all left in the boot because they don’t know whether it’s my gear or the person who stole the car’s or whatever, so I had to go through it all, it was mostly rubbish but also a PS4 in there. I’m gonna grab a controller off a mate tomorrow and see if I can trace the PS4 account back to somebody, it’s either robbed goods and they can have it back, or it’ll lead me to whoever has been driving round in it when it was robbed and that’ll be nice cos I’ll send a homeboy round to recover my losses.
They did, I think their trial is soon actually. However somebody bought the Mrs car off them and that’s the ****s who I’d like to find.
Anyone watched the video in this article? What a horrid way to die.. https://news.sky.com/story/pc-harper-killing-three-teens-found-guilty-of-manslaughter-12035300
Yeah, I remember when the news first said about this happening. It wasn't until a little bit later I heard about the tow rope, after that it didn't leave much to the imagination. Imagine having to be his colleague who gave chase, having to witness what was left of his mate, something that will live with him forever. Dreadful way to die. I don't know and have no way of knowing, whether them lads knew he was hooked up. Either way whatever sentence they got, will never be enough for those that lost a loved one, who had even finished his shift, but chose to give chase to the thieves who think its ok to help themselves to someone elses property. The price of law and order eh!
Speeding down small roads, probably music blarring, on a high getting chased. Maybe me just just soft, but i doubt (or at least hope) they knew he caught up....Unless they were totally ****ed up..
Travellers mate, I believe they arrested them on the camp. According to evidence, they had been driving around all day, weighing up options of what to steal. They took a quad bike, hence the tow rope. Their path was blocked of by a police car, the passenger in that police car, was the copper that got dragged for at a least a mile, don't think there was much left of him at high speed.
i watched the video mate, even tho you don't see anything, maybe it's better that way. i'm still not sure they knew, it's a bit of a no no crime.....you just don't do that ****.
Yeah, I know they wanted to get them with murder, and I totally understand that, but on a dark night, down a country lane, are you really going to know you've hooked a copper on the back. Sad but guess if I was on the Jury, I'd have gone manslaughter too. Soz that don't fit with what the loved ones understandably want, but we'd need to change the law to have it any other way.
My gut instinct would say that you'd know if you was dragging something of a relative size behind you. But beyond reasonable doubt? Impossible to say given the circumstances so this was always the likely outcome.
they already had a heavy tow rope....i really don't know, you'd think the extra weight would make it obvious...**** knows.
I think manslaughter was the right verdict. Hideous what happened to that copper, but those lads didn't set out to kill him and it's quite likely that in the dark, speeding down a country lane they didn't even realise that he'd got tangled in the tow rope. Doesn't make it any better for his widow or family, but the law has to be applied correctly in these cases.
