Beach usually, although I'm starting to prefer path. Sometimes a mix of beach, grass and then tarmac, plays havoc with my shins and calves. Am looking at buying some new shoes that are recommended for shin splints and then just sticking to the sea front path.
I'm on a 10k training plan but sometimes my middle son joins me, like tonight, so we just do a half hour run along the front.
Never done anything like 10k but about 3/4 miles tbh. 4 times a week's enough to just stay toned. Same here btw I was running with my 15 yo daughter. Another reason to get back on it. She's sleeping for England atm.
The kids have become very lazy. It's ok for me, I've worked throughout so it's my Mrs at home with them all the time. The eldest is on couch to 5k with her and I'm on 5k to 10k, with me middle un dipping in and out of it. Tbf to my daughter, she's on the trampoline, hoola hoop ,and tick tocking non stop all day so she's been right at it all the time.
lol mine's on tic toc doing some silly moves. I tried to get her to include some old skool break dance hand moves for a laugh but she weren't having it When I come back from work I do worry how much of the day they've wasted. Apparently they're working but I have to take their word for it. Only one of mine runs, and that's with me. If I don't she won't. Tbf she's doing all sorts in the garden though - skipping rope and athletic type stuff so fair play to her. My boy's just vegging. He hasn't seen his mates in ages so he's just vegging at home and anything I do only keeps him motivated for so long. And yet he was boxing twice a week and part of RAF cadets before lockdown. I'd like him to get back to that asap.
Running round Wythenshawe Park every day while home. Good 6km run on mostly tracks rather than tarmac with added advantage of starting from house.
Anyone got any dumbells, bars n weights they want to sell? or know of anywhere where I can get good deals? Found some stuff on Amazon but need to widen my options before I invest
Bought some new runners today. Can't resist, any excuse to buy trainers. The excuse was the need for new runners. Treated myself to this as well, I think this is old school class with a modern slant. Be happy to wear that.
