Casinos now fall under the high value cash dealers regulations, if you hand over more than €10,000 in readies then they’ll take an interest in you, as they have to under the strict regulations they work under.
Doubt it's even that high. The last time I went they were pretty interested and I wasn't taking out that much
That’s the upper limit, was reduced from €15k a couple of years back, and I’m on about deposits not withdrawals mate.
Given the nature of my business I occasionally trade in large amounts of cash and am always treated like a criminal despite the fact that it’s all legal. Ironic given the people who set the rules are all ****ing tax dodgers and shysters.
Think they told me the most I could take out was 2k, I was ****ing smashed though so not 100%. That was at the counter bit though, guess its basically unlimited at the actual cash point in there. I get it isnt really what we are chatting about though as my money was already in the bank which is what we are saying is impossible to do if earning big money illegally.
Decent point Ques. I do wonder how the shear amount of fast food outlets can stay open night after night . It cant all be legit .
I’ve set a rule that we won’t take more than a bag in cash now, as I just don’t need the potential grief.
My mother in law went to draw £5,000 out to help my daughter by her first property . She got quizzed and had to virtually jump through hoops to get it . My daughters solicitor even had to validate it before it was all finalised via a letter from the mother in law.
Banks now have a cash withdrawal limit of £2500 without advance notice being given, as I’ve fallen foul of that one, but I can’t say I’ve heard of evidence for its use having to be given before.
Theres lots of things that have changed . You cant put money in for anybody else anymore over the counter . I find it strange that you can ram £2,000 a day through a cash machine but cant take £100 and put it in a bank book for your own daughter
I left some notes in a pair of jeans that were washed by mistake When I took the damaged notes to the bank they said they would not change them because they had obviously been laundered
There is a property at the top end of Watford High Street near the Gade car park that for the last 20 or so years has had a name change and refurb every couple of years without any customers most of the time We have always thought it is a way to recirculate cash
Debt has only existed on a large scale since wages were paid into banks In the days when wages were paid in cash you bought what you could afford and inflation was almost non existent
My mate refuses to pay by card . He always draws cash out and stands at a til instead of self service .
