I dont think ive listened to enough of it to say i do or don't like it tbh I like that one though, and nessum dorma (or that one)
Is right. It’s an appalling simplistic piece of legislation, brought in under the last Labour Govt, but massively exacerbated by the removal of legal aid under the Tories. Meaning that literally anyone who’s given a 12 month+ sentence can be deported post their sentence and unless fortunate enough to get a solicitor / barrister who’ll work pro bono, then they’ve got literally no recourse. So there’s no nuance and no context applied, the fact that they might have lived here virtually all of their lives and committed a non violent and relatively low level crime, doesn’t matter.
A classical song sung in Italian. It’s less operatic than Barcelona by Freddie Mercury and Monster Rat Caballero (sic).
Not getting involved in the Hip Hop Warz The World has lost greats before me, like Tupac n Biggie I don’t want to be another See you ****Z around
I like most music if its authentic, written by the artist singing it or the subject matter is worthy. Nothing like hearing someone sing and feeling it in your bones, that usualy comes from authenticity, i dont like adels music for example but i rate her cos shes authentic, same goes for ed sheeran, cant stand his **** bit can give him respect that ge writes it all.
If you mean Nessun Dorma, off the top of my head without looking back at the lyrics, I think it's like a wager between two men and the Princess is the prize.
Obviously ill get the piss ripped out of me but ive always loved that song the sound of silence, hard to explain but it just gets me. This version is the best for me
I know it's some type of wager anyway. Just looked it up, it's actually a wager between the man and the Princess, if he is wrong, he loses his head, if he is right, she is the prize.
Probably something from your younger days, the songs you are remembering are what I would see as educational songs, either for learning music or language.
Really don't see the issue here. The guy has committed a crime which is considered a "serious crime' in the UK and therefore is liable to be deported after serving his sentence. If he had wanted to commit crime and stay here he should have applied for British Citizenship first, alternatively don't commit the crime when you are in an uncertain legal/residence position like this. The argument that it shouldn't be a serious crime doesn't isn't really a defence for his actions. If you want to live in a foreign country then you should know and abide by the laws of that country.
