A London Pride or a pint of Fullers Frontier won't bloat him.

That’s a fallacy. Been up there a few times and the ale was non existent.

Best ale is made in the Midlands.

On a night or an afternoon of booze and food?

so many good places to go. If you stick to the area of the city centre around the cathedral .

    the alchemist
    The botanist
Old contempables lovely old pub looks like something from peaky blinders
    Flight club
    Lost an found
Dirty martini is funny. People dancing on the table at lunch time.

If you want to do something different then go to digbeth it’s like what Camden used to be like. Very up and coming. Some great pubs/bars there is digbeth dining club which is like a covered Camden lock food market. Loads of street food.

but if you want to sample what is truly unique to brum then visit a Desi pub. Which is an Indian owned boozer. Usually Sikh families. There are loads of good ones. Think there are two near the centre, toward the jewellery quarter. Anyone visits brum you need to go to a desi pub. Unless you’re a massive racist and hate brown people. The food in them is a joy to behold.

    Afternoon drinks, no food.

Cheers for the options. I’ll have a little look.

When are you going up there? If the weather is nice then sitting out the back of the mailbox is ok. Just avoid broad street and china town.

Getting there in 20mins. Going for tapas and sea life centre first, then hitting a bar for an hour or so.
