I read the book when I was in my 20's. William Burroughs, Beat writer mostly off his nut.

Naked Lunch is a crazy bug / human metamorphosis story, (in amongst other equally weird stuff)

The film of the book was made by David Cronenberg, who did Scanners and Videodrome, so it lends itself to Burroughs crazy Heroin fuelled mind.
