I only know this through my Gran. The one i posted about the other day, just turning 96. She was always the queen bee. Every saturday, everyone would go to her house, it was always full. Anyway cut a long story short, i ****ed of, and it seems the family thing got less and less. Then the council stepped in and asked why a single woman was in a 3 bedroom house. (which is fair enough i guess). Seems she ended up in a home, despite having a massive family (the ****s) She's still going, but looks like a waif, well she is 96 i guess. But you know it's coming to an end, and i will just look at them all (including my own mum and dad) and think ****s.
Sorry to hear that about your family mate. And your old gran is doing well for 96. Enjoy the time you do have together
A young nurse in the war mate, her husband served in the tanks with Monty. Last of a hardy breed. Like i've said, it was a social issue also, the council taking the house, she'd had for many a year.
The Red Dead game inspired me to watch the Clint Eastwood spaghetti western trilogy. Watching the last one, The Good, the Bad the Ugly after ive rolled my spliff. Watched the other two the last two nights...lol..the game has been inspired by the movies
I’m sorry to hear that, You know where I am if you want a chat, Sending thoughts to you and your family.
My Mum went a similar way. Didn't even speak.I told her to let go as me and the girls were fine and she died a week later. It was no life for what was an intelligent and articulate woman.
Sorry to hear that mate. All the best to you and your family. I've told you all about how my grandad went in similar circumstances. I'm a believer in them resigning themselves to their fate. With my grandad I was called over as they said he didn't have long. He was told me n my sister were coming (we were bought up by our grandparents as kids) and perked up. Went from being bedridden to to walking in the 3 months we were there. A last hoorah almost (not sure if that is the right way to express it). We obviously had to return and he passed soon after.
Top lads them... nowt wrong with getting smashed and celebrating not being wiped off the face of the earth.
Sorry to hear that mate...hope you manage to have some more good moments with him...he must be a good person for you to be so devoted to him... It's good you can talk about it too. I think it would be a fitting thing for you to be a charlton supporter from now on
