Claim what you want, but sat in a car pissed with keys in the ignition, it's gonna fall on deaf ears.
Yeah that's what I mean, you've got to have that rule I suppose otherwise people would just try and blag it.
How far can you take that logic... So if you’re sat on a park bench, smashed and have a roll of duct tape in your jacket by chance, does that mean you’re gonna rape?
It's a bit like the offensive weapon law. You could be walking home with a kitchen knife, hammer and baseball bat you'd bought from the shops, but if you're black and under 30 years old. You'd probably get stopped and done for carrying.
That's the key line. If this lad had been in the back or passenger seat he'd have been fine. In the drivers seat with keys in ignition is asking for trouble really!
True, but I'm often sat up in the drivers seat with the keys in the ignition with the radio/cd/dvd player on having a few beers after an event away from home. Before crashing out in the back. If a Copper pulled up and saw me sitting there would I get done for drink driving ? Surely the Police have to apply a bit of common sense here ?
I imagine that next year nobody will need to wear contact lenses or Glasses. It's my twenty twenty vision .
You probably would, yeah. You could argue that the engine isn't/hasn't been running and hopefully if the engine is cold you can prove your point. At the very least, sit in the passenger seat. Pretty obvious I reckon.
Just been to see a house for sale here. It’s a wreck and I reckon it would need £40k at least, it needs new windows, bathroom, kitchen, replastering, probably rewiring too. Also needs some updated heating system. It’s only a small place, two up two down terraced cottage. But the views from are to die for. This pic is taken from the end of the front garden.
Cornwall isn't a cheap area to buy property, so it's about the going rate even being a wreck. The same two up, two down terrace in a town up north would probably go for around £80k
It's only ever going to be a two bedroom terraced cottage, so however nice you made it it's probably going to have a ceiling of £200k. You could extend the back and add another bedroom and the front is begging for a sun room extension. But you'd need to sink some big bucks into doing that. I could do the work myself. I did it all on my house. But I'm not sure I want to take on a project like that again after having spent years doing my own house up. If I was going to go for it. I'd have to sell my house and use the profits from the sale to pay somebody to do this one up.
