The reason was to get rid of the Taliban regime who funded terrorists and oppressed it's own citizens.

Pinochet was hiding in the UK when Spain wanted extradition for war crimes

So Spain should have declared war because the UK didn't hand him over?

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) did not authorize the U.S.-led military campaign in Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom).

The Taliban offered to try Bin Laden in an Afghan court, or have him extradited to a third country, so long as the United States provided evidence of his guilt, but the U.S. refused, stating it would not hand over evidence to the Taliban

Critics maintain that the bombing and invasion of Afghanistan were not legitimate self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter because the 9/11 attacks were not “armed attacks” by another state, but rather were perpetrated by groups of individuals or non-state actors, and that these attackers had no proven connection to Afghanistan.

The Uk don't have an oppressive regime that allow terrorist organisations to operate unimpeded within their borders so it's a different situation as there was no threat to Spain from that situation.

plot and plan what? 9/11? from afghanistan, under the sanctuary the taliban provided in return for money and weapons. and in fact, OBL himself didn't "plan and plot them". the ideas were conceived between ramzi yousef and abdul murad, the former brought the idea to his uncle khalid sheikh mohamed before he was caught by the cia..and it was KSM who brought the idea to OBL once he was committed to it. up until that point KSM was more of a free-lancer. OBL just had the means to do it

The UK allowed and conspired with the UVF

What did the Afghanistanis do to the UK?

How many Afghans died in the 9/11 hijacks?

How many Afghans have died or killed outside their own borders since 9/11

    Some threat
