Well according to there fan on radio bristol they are gonna get bigger gates of 8.5k in the conference
Financially how much will relegation cost them? Also how much income will they lose from the rugby moving to Ashton Gate?
I don't know how much it is/was to watch the blue few but to watch Dorchester who just went down from the div below them was £10 - £12. I think Its a lot to watch a pile of ****e
Oh, this is so sweet to read. Enjoy. http://www.brfcforum.co.uk/index.php?/topic/103339-bristol-city-1982-limited/
Taken from a poster on their main site We have also got less TV income and the removal of funding for the youth set up to look forward in addition to no rugby income but hey ho as long as we get big gates because we come from a big city who cares. A quote from 2012 "Any relegation is difficult for a club. It's a blow to morale and a big financial setback as well. But the costs of relegation from League 2 to the Conference are particularly heavy. Just look at the clubs who have found it difficult to return to the Football League: among them Grimsby, Lincoln, Luton, Mansfield and York (who have had the longest stay at the lower level). With one automatic promotion place and well-funded up-and-coming teams like Fleetwood challenging, it's not an easy league to get out of. Luton have just sacked their manager because an automatic promotion place is effectively beyond their grasp. The financial price includes the immediate loss of the £250,000 Premier League solidarity payment. TV revenue and sponsorship at £430,000 is halved for one year and then goes. Youth development funding of £180,000 a year is halved for two years and then disappears. It's a big contrast with the generous parachute payments clubs relegated from the Premiership receive for three years." This was from 2012 so figures my have changed.
I'm thinking of signing up to their forum just to bump it back up that list of roads name whatever that means is a cock ain't he/she
Cooler heads will prevail during my summer break I hope. Take care all 606ers and have a great summer.
mike, dont give up the forum im personally taking everything from city fans on here as banter like im sure a lot of other gasheads are doing. im shocked that there has been a lot of good wishes our way from reds like from yourself for example. i didnt expect that. so fair shout to a lot of you. to those who are doing the banter, some stuff been pretty stupid but some been pretty funny too! i didnt think i would be able to smile after what happened yesterday but some thing said by some reds on here has made me chuckle. i feel dirty now saying that! as for shinys comment to you mike about us gasheads making threads on the city board wumming when you got relegated etc (those were the good days ), shiny is right. some of us did do that. i personally didnt (cant honestly remember that i did). i kept the banter on our banter thread on the rovers board. however the reason why some gasheads did do this is because of the wums we had been getting since we got relegated from league 1. we had a lot of wums then completely covering our board in every thread. the banter goes back and fourth and has been for years all the way back to the bbc606 days. it usually works like this: when something goes wrong at BS7 some reds on here have their fun and it always bites them on the ass as something usually goes wrong at BS3 soon after. thats when we have our fun on here. but that then comes back to bite us on our ass as then something goes wrong again at BS7 and again some reds have their fun again and so on. its been like that for years and we all take it as banter. some blues didnt like all the banter and unfortunately dont post anymore and as a result we only get a small amount of members. some reds dont like all the banter either and usually comments telling us to go away thinking we are being serious not understanding there is history with our banter as a lot of us on both boards have known each other for ages. dont give up on your board like whats happened on our board cheers again mike for your nice comments on our board and to other reds who have done the same and cheers to all who have said some nice comments about me on this thread too
I hope so Mike, the forum needs your contributions. I'm also in the minority in believing that this latest setback is really bad for Bristol and the South West in general and I've already offered my condolences on the Rovers board.
Thanks to you all for putting me back on the planet of belief. As you could probably tell I was very upset to see our friends across the way going down and the comments on here really irked me. As usual the kind words came through and tempered my thoughts regarding this board. Again to you all have a great summer and perhaps next season both Bristol teams will get promoted and we can all ring each other's praises.
