I see they are blaming us for them attacking the away fans, just because they wasn't wearing Mansfield tops they must be City fans comments taken from their forum. Which is ****ing hilarious tonight It was known that City fans were going to try to get in the away end so why didn't our stewards eject these obvious thirty or so into the hands of the police before they were able to inflame the situation?? All the police did was to form a line in the Dribuild stand all the way down the stairway to stop Rovers fans in the stand from retaliating to their chants. No coppers appeared to enter the away end and it was clearly obvious they were ****heads not a Mansfield shirt among them! That is why the Rovers fans ran towards the away terrace. A total cock caused by the management of BRFC happy to let anyone into the away end and take their money!
All you supposed City fans who have been cheering the drop of Rovers to the Conference are clearly a total waste of space in my opinion. Their drop hurts the City of Bristol overall and cheering their demise is disgraceful and I hope you all are enjoying yourselves getting pissed at their expense. I feel sorry for any decent Rovers fans, including the few on here. But based on their spewings on here at Xmas when we were bottom of the league and staring successive relegations what goes around comes around and I have not seen any comments on here that are probably not deserved. Inver, I think you are being a bit childish in your last post and hope you will reconsider as this site will be poorer each time a regular poster leaves. As for the City of Bristol being worse off having only 1 team in the football league, I don't really agree as tbh it makes little difference, it is not as if the local council was pro football clubs and may now change their minds is it??

I am sorry that they have been relegated as it is not good for the City of Bristol. I think most on here feel the same and what you are seeing/reading at the moment is just banter. Everyone relax, enjoy the summer. The Gas will be back. But when is now the question.
We're not glad to hear that mike, in fact im upset you feel the need to leave this site, I really hope you reconsider. Cast your mind back 12 months ago it was us being relegated and we got a lot of stick from rovers fans for it too. We had threads made on OUR BOARD about it from their members, have we made 1 on theirs yet taking the piss? No, We have left it to our own board. Cast your mind back 6 months ago when we were bottom of our league with only 3 wins in 25+ games! again we had threads made about us and the gasheads were giving us stick, we even had stats made about us about how only 1 team has been bottom at Christmas and survived! Mike, at the end of the day we are all football fans and this is all banter, its what makes the sport fun, yes its sad there is only one league team in Bristol but if the shoe was on the other foot..... we would be getting it in the ear. Last season Rovers fans were in the Away end for our final game, these sort of things happen, they were also in the away end the season before when McInnes kept us up. Also lets not forget they call us the 82ers.... Taking the piss out of us going bust is a hell of a lot worse than laughing at them going in to the conference! It's rivalry Mike, so I ask you to reconsider because at the end of the day, us city fans are just giving it back for the "trash talk" we've had from the blue few for the past 18 months! I am also sorry But I just cannot see how the "City of Bristol" suffers for not having 2 league football teams? Positive -- The rivalry..? (not much we haven't been in the same division very often?) Negatives -- Diluted fan base, Will the 'wander along' to a game fans now try Ashton gate? Would a single team City (like Leeds) create (over time) a bigger single purpose more passionate fan base. (like Leeds) Business sponsorship. -- From a business point of view its a no brainer, league football would be the winner if you are thinking of football sponsorship, again has decades of 2 league clubs diluted this possible finance? Talent -- Would a more successful single league club have a bigger pool of talent to choose from from both a local kids point of view and from being a more 'attractive' proposition to established players? Rovers are losing their league History and Status and no one would like that to happen to their club, but look at it dispassionately, its wont be a problem for "the City of Bristol"
I feel sorry for the decent fans, especialy the posters on 606, but its all of their own doing at the end of the day.Its a business that the owners let go tits up. It could,in reality, be any one of 96 clubs at any given time, but at this time its the gas. In 2 years time it may even be City. There are bigger and much more important things in my life to worry about than a football team I dont even support getting relegated to non-league @Mike....chill mate...its mostly banter after all!
I agree that the vast majority of the stuff is banter and has to be viewed that way (Mike hope you reconsider because we need sensible people who can see both sides) I have huge respect for CJS and one or two others on the Rovers board and I do feel sorry for them.
To be honest I've read this a few times and it's just Banter with a few compliments towards the posters on their forum hoping they will stay. I think if you spoke to them, they will see it as that just banter.

I understand local rivalry, but how is this good for Bristol ? Its not exactly a football fanatic's haven at the best of times, but now we just lost one of our clubs A small blue light went out, and the ones that are left will have to work that much harder to keep away the darkness
