bent - injured heskey - crap carroll - crap welbeck - different type of player sturridge - different type of player rooney - banned for 1st 2 group games defoe - cant get a game crouch - crap holt - i think lambert is better as lambert got more than holt to his game. holt is all strength with good hold up and heading. lambert has that as well. but lambert has added to this being faster and fitter than holt, better passer, better shooting from all ranges, more powerful shots, better accuracy with shooting, never misses at pens so good for shoot out, can take free kicks, better 1st touch, better vison and better scoring record scoring over 70 times in 120 games for the saints. and his record with us was just as impressive. a lot dismissed his ability to make it in the championship. look at him this season. his goals basically could win saints the league and promotion to the prem. top goal scorer and most inform english striker at the moment. boothroyed had a call up while with cardiff in the championship and he scored less than lambert. few years before that nugent had a call up while with preston. it does happen call ups from his league. it will be a gamble but a gamble i would take due to his form and what he does on and off the ball. sorry but put him along side other strikers as a big man, crouch, heskey, holt, kevin davis who had a call up, carroll.... lambert wins hands down for me. he has better all round game than the lot of them.

plus not only is he top scorer in his league by 5 goals, he has more than just goals to his name as the leading players for assist are on 10 and lambert is on 9. showing his whole attacking play is just dangerous. another thing would be that the opposition countries wouldnt know much about him.
Worth a shout but i think he needs prem games to be judgeby as scoring goals against doncaster and barnsley isnt the same as the likes of everton or sunderland, better strikers to chose from IMO
have to say, you all thought the same when he was in league 1 with us and we were saying he would easily make it in the championship. saying things like scoring goals against wycombe and cheltenham isnt the same as the likes of reading and cardiff. well now he been given his chance in your league, look at him fly. we told you he was best striker outside the prem. currently he is. bet he would do a lot better than the strikers at clubs in the prem like wigan, bolton, blackburn amongst others.
