FSG are ruthless. So I wouldn't be surprised if they sack Rodgers this summer.

If all of ye experts can "see" that that was donw to Suarez mostly, then FSG will see that too.:bandit:

Also, there was no such sentiment for a manager before him who actually won something the season he was given the bullet.

I am just tihnking from their perspective. IF htey can get a manager of note Rodgers is gone. If not, he stays but with no cash.

Failing to get CL this year will be a mini disaster tbh that will send us back to where we were before he took the job. Not only that, we have had to ship players out, not the ones he signed, but Skrtel is done, Johnson Gerrard Lucas Enrique Borini Lambert all are outgoing then we have Lovren balo (I'll cut markovic some slack as it's his first season and he's a young lad) Moreno, we'll see, has been poor.

So in short we need massive investment and imo and surely in FSGs, Rodgers is not the man to build the team.

His only decent signings have been Coutinho and Can Studge and Ming. His success rate is pretty poor over 3 seasons. If I was FSG I would not be giving him money even if we had it to spend.

Plus as said above, FGS are pretty decisive and ruthless they don't do sentiment

They've already put in 'massive investment' what makes you think they'll just chuck another chunk of their own cash at it?

WTF have at least 50% of the board got against Skrtel.

He was a member of the meanest defence in the league twice. Or are we saying Agger was superman and covered Skrtel even though Agger was injured for long stretches.

Skrtel has been our best defender last season and again this season.

If looking for a scapegoat find someone else , Skrtel bashing stinks of football snobbery

I never said that, you are paraphrasing.

I said they'll only throw another chunk of cash at it if we can get a manager of note, otherwise if we can't, the opposite will happen, they won't make much cash available and that would be the right thing to do given Rodgers record on transfers.

But.,. with the squad we have, we won;t be earning much, no CL, so get him out, get a good manager and do what you have to, as in you need to spend to make money, no way around it these days, not with the financs of those above us

If we somehow managed to tempt a Klopp type, we'd absolutely have to provide a kitty or no deal.

what's his success ratio with signings?

What players will want to play for him without CL?

Still find it hard dot believe after the football we played last season and getting CL that we went for Lovren and Markovic Lallana Moreno and Balo <doh>

But the answer to that question will provide you with your answer so I did answer the question:bandit:

1 in 3? 1 in 4? turn out to be decent?

    No money, someone else

Sick of signing players who have nice hair but can't cut it

Clipperty would be an ideal fit for us. He also has never managed a team with lots of spare cash, he has always built sides which is apparently what he likes to do. Fingers crossed.

Nah, I just think he's near the end, that's all, he's gonna need plreacing soon. But put him in with another good CB and some cover and Skrtel is decent.

He could have been better today tho

Do not trust Rodgers in the transfer window at all, either buying or selling players. If he gets mo money it's a recipe for disaster, if he doesn't get any it's a recipe for disaster.

Average defender. He wasn't great last season - Sakho was still better but won't get plaudits because he 'looks awkward' on the ball.

Skrtel has benefited from playing alongside real leaders in Carra, Agger and now Sakho.

Skrtel hasn't achieved much here at Liverpool, and it's synonymous with our lack of success over the past 5 years since he's been a regular. He's not a bad player - but we need better.

Klopp certainly should be our number 1 target (if FSG are looking for a new manager).

Reading more into his history and the impact he had at Dortmund is remarkable. Perfect candidate for FSG. Pretty sure he was approached when FSG looked to replace Kenny?

We need to 1 offer him a good wage and 2 we need to offer him funds to fix the squad, with no CL footy he won't even consider it, and tbh if city call him, he'll go there.

I don't think the squad needs a massive overhaul. We are developing a talented young squad, and I think 3 solid signings will go a long way - DM, AM, ST.

But more importantly, we need a manager who will excite us and attract players. Klopp certainly fits the bill, and reading reports from German journalists, Klopp values clubs like LFC with history and passion very highly. After the friendly this season, he spent a lot of time at Anfield after the match, taking the tour, speaking to ex-legends.

I may be optimistic, but I think we have a good chance ...

Skrtel is pants, but bar Sakho he's he best defender we have.

Good in a back 3 where he can let the others do the marking and passing and he can just concentrate on being thhe spare man.

Abyway, back to Klopp. It seems like he likes project and liverpool could be his new Dortmund. Take over a big team that have under achieved recently and make them a force again while becoming a legend at the club.

Strikes me me of a manager that likes to earn his wins rather than go to a huge club with unlimited money and buy his way to the top.
