Cooper
Berardi
O'Kane
Roofe
Possibly Hernandez
Dallas

Some of these players have had new contracts in the last 6 months

 

So thoughts on tomorrow's team and formation?

I'll admit to sitting here for a while mulling it over and I'm struggling to decide on my best formation let alone starting 11.
Tough one for By Heck.

 

Don't agree about Cooper. Having his best season with us, discipline side, and even if we get better in he would be worth keeping as a squad player. Save loaning a Pennington type

 

Back four, holding midfielder Phillips/Vieira sitting in front of them then either a Diamond formation with two up front or a 3-2 sitting in front of the holding midfield player Dallas, Hernandez, Alioski, Roofe, Lasogga.

Tyler Roberts would have been ahead of Roofe but hearing he’s not quite ready for 90 minutes yet.

4-1-3-2 or 4-4-2 but a diamond 4-4-2 my predictions

 

I'm leaning towards a 4 4 2 formation.

Obvious back 4 out of who is fit.

Forshaw and Viera in the middle with Dallas and Pablo wide.

PML and Roberts or Roofe up front.


Could even makeb it 4411 if it is Roofe instead of Roberts.


Alioski isn't at best right now. Let's give Dallas a chance and also give alioski a kick up the backside

 

All our worst results (apart from the current run) has come playing 4-4-2. Don’t know how the Heckingbottom likes to set up his teams if the truth be told.

Totally agree but reading various articles PH has said he isn't strung up on formations, he picks a side and formation dependent on what he has available but reports suggest his favoured setups have been 4-4-2 or 4-1-3-2 or 4-1-4-1

With this in mind I still think we are strongest with defensive midfielders and I feel he will try and get at least two of them included. Lasogga has been speaking out positively about how is looking forward to the change in setup so I am assuming he doesn't like being a loan striker, if this is the case we can rule out the 4-1-4-1

I think Forshaw could be a big difference when it comes to 442 though. More assured in the middle.
Plus Dallas as a more natural wide player to the others as well.

 

Looks like heckys arrival has inspired our u23 team 5-1 up against forest with 10 mins to go

 

Sounds like the cavalry charge formation is a winner for me. a nice 2 2 6 is awesome. Anyone remember that Spurs team with Klinsman, Sheringham, Barmby, Anderton, Iverson & Ferdinand
