Been thinking about Lasogga, maybe, just maybe, try our 3 CM's upfront with Lasogga just behind. His shots from edge of box are pretty hard, and the 3 CM's are there to pounce on any deflections, keeper errors or loose balls. Lasogga needs to quicken his pace, cos most defenders will out pace him, wouldn't be a bad experiment to try, he's not always going to be hanging around edge of box of course.
Wasted a pile of time going through recent posts and can’t see what Glory has “recently” done. Yes some spats with WJ last week and ongoing niggle with 60 is the ban a temp cooling off one and is it for any “one” particular incident I’ve overlooked or for his ongoing arguments? I’m assuming he didn’t really have multiple accounts...
Likewise, no idea why he was banned, the rows were tedious but didn’t see anything other than the norm between the usual protagonists.
I was getting bored of the constant moaning, arguing, bickering and antagonist nature but I just accepted we’re all different. Glory did a lot of it for effect but he lost me several months back when he turned on me (unjustly in my opinion), I was going to stop posting for a while (Back then) as it got to me a bit so I do understand what it is like to be on the receiving end. Saying that I sometimes get on my high horse and allow posts to cut a bit, it’s wrong and it’s easy to do. It doesn’t mean I wanted him banned and it doesn’t mean I don’t believe his real life persona is totally different to his online one. I’m never totally sure when it’s genuine arguing, baiting or banter with Glory, I try and steer clear of it myself as we’ve all seen how it can turn nasty.
Agree it was getting tedious wading through it all to get back to football so was half joking when suggesting they started a thread of their own to battle it out but saw nothing more than usual tiff.
Morning guys. I took the decision to stop using this site at the beginning of the season because I got sick of the same old crap certain people were constantly posting. Leedsoflondon made a great point about having to wade through all the crap to get to the football talk. Then when you got to it you find one of the most prolific posters, glory, just spouts the same old negative drivel over and over again. I warned him a long time ago that he was in danger of becoming a parody of himself as he seemed to offer nothing new just. No new perspective, no new arguments and no ability to take an opposing opinion. He would just react defensively if you called him out on it and make bets or play the innocent victim. I don't know what occurred so can't comment and only know something happened through talking to ell on Twitter. This forum has lost one of its main supporters who kept so much of the debate going with his morning debate. Now whether glory was right or wrong in this instant my first thought when reading ells tweet about giving up 606 was what's glory done. This forum has been on a downturn for a long time. I find it sad as it was the original 606 and then this one which helped us through some of the toughest times as a Leeds fan/supporter. The shared cameradire was amazing.
Normally I would be putting my tin hat on after a post like that waiting for the attack and abuse but I feel happier that you guys might actually offer a balanced argument whether you agree with me or not or like what I had to say. What a time to be alive
Good morning hemase, good to see you back. I’ve often complained about wading through the same old crap but we’re in the minority pal and unlike the Brexit Remoaners I accept that. The Sheff Utd match day thread is a prime example of wading through pages of **** to find the odd footie related post. It would be nice if one football match day related thread remained at least 90% on topic but it never happens. A couple of (recent) times now we’ve invited the opposing fans in to join the match day thread and they have commented negatively towards the junk content. I guess there isn’t enough decent footie being played to keep us all on topic..
Well that may change now. Hopefully this might become a football forum again, not petty squabble forum. I like the idea of inviting opposition fans to debate around match day. Should make for interesting conversation. Hopefully they will be more interesting then the Millwall lot we seemed to have adopted. I say this not to get a rise or as wind up but the Millwall fans who spend all their time here have not said anything interesting or funny for as long as I can remember. It would be good to get some proper debate going with other fans
Can I suggest you pm Ell and ask him why he contemplated giving it up and have a rethink. Not arguing but you are working on a wrong premise.
I apologise if you were not cause of ells sabbatical, all evidence pointed that way. I stand by my other points though
I accept your other points, and no need to apologise. I can see things might have read that way even though it was the polar opposite of what was going on. In fairness the matchday thread stays on topic on most occasions until the game has been played and the post Mortem held unless I am missing something. I will attempt to do better.
