The latest from Phil Haye is that the club prefer Hugill over Marriot but both are overpri Milky my preference would be the player touted on here last week from the Greek league who has scored 18 goals from his last 24 games and the season before in the polish league for Legia Warsaw scored over 20 goals in his last season.
The likes of L.Cunningham as well. We never seem to beat them. Did we play them in the cup, which took a couple of replys.
Agree in regards to Hugill but throwing Clarke in could destroy him. Look at Grot as the example, fans on his back, no acceptance that he is learning his trade, just fans calling for him to be dropped. I’d rather take Antonnson back...
78/79 season........we played them in the League Cup 3 matches and in the FA Cup 2 matches. Although we did get to the semis of the League cup that season.
Antonsonn out injured mate, but with regard to young Clarke if we have no plans for a new striker whats the plan? I only mentioned Clarke because TC mentioned him as he almost started with him instead of Roofe a few weeks ago. There's also a story going around about is being favorite to sign a 17yo striker from Inter Milan who is a first team starter but on loan. is their 17 yo kid better than our 17yo kid? The situation is stupid and has been stupid for a couple of months with TC. He says he has a good enough squad, he doesnt have a striker sat on the bench, then he has no DM sat on the bench, then he has 2 strikers on the bench and no DM so a CB replaces a DM, Klich ignored with no explanation, why did we buy Grot, Cibicki classed as a striker but only used wide right. We lose 2 DMs yet send a new International out on loan, so we look to buy a DM and a striker but wont pay over the odds. Its a comedy of screw ups befitting Teresa May. Phil Hay is saying even though we have watched Clayton we are not buying him? Pity because he has the experience to see this through.
RIP Regis O'Kane deserved his red, stupid stupid stupid Celina scores a wonder goal but means fcuk all ... he doesn't perform consistently and there's a reason he's on loan at Ipswich Ulloa would do a job at Championship level, be a good loan signing for us as he will be putting himself in the shop window for a free transfer in the Summer
Clarke played today too but it was Malik Wilkes who scored a good goal. Crewe are they really running a top academy system like Man City? No they aren’t but we get beaten. Maybe we have to take the long view and wait until next season, oh wait many of these kids will have gone, been sold or let go, so whats the plan
Who knows doc, they do say they don’t Care about u23 results.. it’s the process etc. That’s from kinnear’s mouth. I get that to a point but to me winning is a mentality that you don’t switch on and off. If you want to breed winners you can’t send them out with a ‘result doesn’t matter mentality’. An ex-player who’s still involved in the game tells me the kids are all soft these days (and he wasn’t talking about Leeds by the way)... they go down in a game and chuck the towel in etc. It sounds a bit like some old Cnut carping on about how in his day, they slept on a bail of straw in a cow shed and were lucky to get pony nuts for breakfast... but the guy in question isn’t that long retired. Play every game to win, I say.
He's right. Todays footballers are more into hair and skin products and social media sites. But then again what do you expect in the snowflake generation that we live in today.
