    Good Morning Everyone

    10 more sleeps to Christmas....

Leeds have the option to recall Antonsson from his loan spell in January, but are unlikely to do as as they are happy with his development at Blackburn Rovers.

It therefore seems even more likely that we will be splashing out in the January transfer window.

    Lasogga is back in training...

But will he be fit for Saturday?

Morning all. Not sure if it’s an age thing but that last year seems to have flown by. World darts back on tonight, real winter tv. Can we muster enough points in December to maintain an interest in promotion end of table. Gap seems to be widening again worryingly between pl and championship. I checked pl table and adding the points of last years three promoted teams is only a point more than City on top.

    Morning all....

    In regards to Erie’s comments...

Entry to the Premier League seems a bit out of reach at the moment but we’re building a foundation. I could be totally wrong but I have a feeling Rads isn’t here for the long term and despite how good I believe he has been for the club I hope he isn’t and here is why....

I believe his aim is to get us into the Premier League and make us a super attractive purchase to the next billionaire buyer looking for an English club. Rads said he knew little about football so is he a real fan of football? Does he have the passion and desire to make us a competitive PL club? Does he have deep enough pockets? I don’t believe he is/does.

I know and I accept this divides many fans but if Rads earned us promotion and over 10 years we became a team hovering outside the top 6 or flirting in and out of the PL it wouldn’t satisfy me. Get us on a sound footing with all the infrastructure in place and sell us to the next Arab Emirates or Roman Abramovich as soon as we go up and I’d be satisfied, that would excite me and I live in hope that this is the plan.

Morning all, yes the gulf between the Pl & Championship is massive. Look at Newcastle who walked the league last year, they spent millions in the Summer but not enough millions to make a difference and are in danger of coming straight back down. Brighton didnt go overboard on the millions but finding it hard to stay in the league, both those teams would be up top of our league with Wolves. We will not be spending heavily in January although I do expect a new striker.

We play a team with £14m parachute payments again this week, a team who spent heavily in real terms to stay in the PL, and seem to be punching well below their weight this season. This game will be a tough test without a doubt simply because its 2 top clubs who deserve to be in the PL. A win will be great and hope we dont get another draw unless its saving the game. We really need to have a big December full of fight which should get us into the top 6

Both Bardif and Wolve's long term plans seem to be working well so far. Just shows the importance of long term planning. Like to think ours is at least 5 years more in the making. No point rushing things like wolves and bardif aren't. :emoticon-0133-wait:

Fans are fickle and if they were given a choice of a) Radz who did the right thing and got the club doing a yoyo like WBA did. It takes time to build a Prem team from nothing so promotion, relegation, promotion, relegation, promotion is a sound way of doing it with the parachute money every year until you have a settled stable team. Stoke, Wigan for years, WBA, Burnley, Watford, Hull all small clubs now established because of parachute money and yoyo business plan. Or b) Radz gets promotion and sell the club to a billionaire. I think the fans would go for b.

I hate the parachute system as all those small clubs do not deserve to be in the prem, they are given an unfair advantage which keeps bigger clubs without parachute money out of promotion contention, without new cash or new owners.

Its clearly easier for younger fans to talk about building for five or ten years time. You have time on your side. Those of us approaching 60or past it naturally want success a lot quicker. I personally want to watch us lock horns with the big guns again while Im still able to travel over to watch games and not from a nursing home bed. I agree with Ristacs comments re needing a major player if we get promoted to cement our status at top end of PL

Had a little chuckle reading this, Kev. Then a cracking business idea hit me for the club! They could build a big retirement home onto ER! All us old fogies could retire there (and the wives too, if they behaved themselves). Imagine having a match-day space retained in the ground for our bathchairs, plus an accompanying seat for our nurses so they were always there to wipe the dribble up & change our nappies. Bliss! :D

Some of us may have to aim for about 120 so Mike. There’s a real healthy 105 year old living near me so maybe there’s hope
