I have no need to check with Ms Grot because the only thing I ever related my point to was Rolls Royce ownership in the 19th century. You may be correct about the early 20th century but I never said you weren’t. As I said earlier someone perhaps Ristac? Produced the same story a month ago from the local paper that suggested it was Huddersfield not Bradford. But I was only ever arguing on the narrow point it wasn’t the 19th century.
There is no need, but there were multiple posts that lead to the £1000 bet and if you don’t doctor it, it was very specific and was all about 19th century Rolls Royces. I dont want to embarrass Mike further so would rather this be dropped for the good of the board. And Mike himself.

So now we have the answer. A missing period at the end of a sentence. Which allowed Gloryhole to make up his own interpretation of the 60's statement. Anyone with the flimsiest grasp of english should read the statement again and include the period. Reads differently, doesn't it? Just like 60 intended. Now if Gloryhole used perfect english and grammar, you could perhaps understand him taking issue with this lack of correctness. He's a regular user of the policeman icon when correcting people, so it wouldn't be a surprise. But not on this occasion. Why pause on something so mundane when you can continue your hate campaign with vigour, using an obtuse interpretation of the statement to make trouble. Trouble? Gloryhole? Surely not? Also bear in mind that the reason this has flared up again is that Glory was party to 60 being banned 2 years ago. Which is why it's flaring up now, and not 2 years ago - 60 hasn't been here to be able to defend himself. Surely that's easy to understand? Put yourself in his position. And let's not be fooled by the carefully-penned postings from Gloryhole over the last few weeks. Very carefully worded 'look at me I'm innocent and never, ever incite anything on this board'. Oh, and the killer 'oh sorry, BRB, I didn't realise you would be called into this if I did that'. Priceless. Do you really think Gloryhole is so stupid & innocent? Really? Have you read any of his posts? I wonder who his next target will be. Clive, Sheldon & Leeds60 have already been his targets, and we know what happened to them. I have too, and it would appear I was one sentence away from being banned. Any commonality here? Yup - none of us agreed with Gloryhole. End of.
WJ as an outsider on this I have no axe to grind with 60 or Glory, in fact I have more disagreements with Glory on other threads. To me it's 60's attitude and how he replies to people that stirs things up. Why not just say "I made a mistake in my statement, it should have read.......". Also when I quote the statement he wrote he then accuses me of editing his original post and states "case closed". Never met him but he comes over as a know it all numpty.
