Good Morning Everyone
Stuart Dallas is back in the squad for tonight's Yorkshire derby at Elland Road
You'll recall that his mother died last week.
I'm sure we all wish him well.
Borthwick Jackson picked up an ankle knock at the Walker Stadium on Tuesday night. He is expected to be out for a fortnight.
This being the case, you'd expect Anita to start tonight at left back.
According to the Daily Mail (so it can't be wrong, surely) Leed are tracking Sturm Graz midfielder James Jeggo.
Hull City and Middlesbrough are also after the 25-year-old.
Jeggo is out of contract at the end of this season and is said to have turned down the Austrian side's offer of an extension.
He can therefore speak to other clubs in January regarding a pre-contract agreement, prior to moving clubs next summer - unless a cut-price deal can be struck before then.
Former Tottenham Hotspur scout David Magrone has revealed Leeds United tried to sign England Harry Kane, but the Spurs manager at the time, Tim Sherwood, blocked the move.
Speaking to The World Game, the former Tottenham official confirmed Leeds United were trying to sign Kane: “There was serious consideration among the hierarchy at the club to letting him go to Leeds because he’d been out on loan and had never really set the world on fire. Tim knew he was a Premier League player in the making, and really didn’t want to let him go, even if the chairman (Daniel Levy) possibly did.”
It has been revealed that William Remy almost signed for Leeds in the dying hours of the transfer window. to Leeds United in the summer transfer window.
L’Equipe claimed that Leeds and Championship rivals QPR were pushing to sign the centre-back from Ligue 1 side Montpellier on deadline day. But, when the window slammed shut on September 1st, Remy was still stuck with the Herault-based club.
Though the 26-year-old, who has one cap for France’s Under-19 side, is far from a first-team regular. Remy has fallen down the pecking order at Montpellier. After making just eight Ligue 1 starts last season, he has not featured in a single top flight game in 2017/18
The former Dijon player has gone from being absolute mustard to marmite in a couple of seasons.
His contract is up at the end of the season, so would expect him to leave in January for a nominal fee.
