Morning all.. Nothing new to add to last nights game that hasn't been said in the match thread apart from one thing, what a penalty by Alioski, no keeper in the world would have saved that one.
Good morning i watched the full game and never got nervous once.even the shoot out i was calm.usually im nearly on the pitch .
Its lovely here in wakey central.got the windows open its that nice.waiting on work calling with offers of shifts.im getting a bit picky lately.
Agreed but it was also the closest to missing, when you look at the fine margin between unsaveable top corner & row Z. I believe he has a great dead ball kick too & scores for his previous club & National team. Wonder how good he is at the crossbar challenge
Only one comment as I was neither there nor saw it on tv - when the penalties started I knew those players would score, they are the sort who do
I thought we should have bluffed Brady by no wall and say to him come on then how good are you, I personally think he is over rated, no wall, two tall defenders on each post, then ask him to beat us from 24yds out, the element of surprise beat Lonegran last night, but he should of done better.
Morning all ... nice to see the board bouncing, long may it continue ... we were all quite rightly concerned after the poor result on Saturday, and it was clear that Tommy was very unhappy with his players ... last night we saw that this Leeds of ours is definitely heading in the right direction ... Burnley was a tough assignment, a proper test of character, and a 3-0 drubbing could easily have been the outcome if the team folded on the back of the Millwall depression ... however, the squad came together and lifted their performance back to where we know it should be, and earned a brilliant result ... think about it, no Cooper, Saiz, Jansson, Wiedwald, Anita, O'Kane or Phillips on the pitch at any stage Shaughnessy was IMMENSE, he cut out so many balls with his excellent anticipation, he was calm and he stood up to the physical challenge that Vokes/Barnes presented ... when Wood came on, there was a clear signal from the bench that he was Shaughnessy's responsibility, and boy he gave Wood nothing ... we have a real talent on our hands, and Reading must be wondering how they fcuked up releasing him winning headers wasn't the issue in the first half, it was more not picking up the second balls ... this was in the main due to Cibicki roaming a lot and not sitting in the centre of the park ... look at how many second balls Saiz runs onto Berardi, for all his fighting spirit, struggles with stopping crosses ... yes, he certainly makes a tackle and he will dig in and battle, but he's still prone to pace and switches off every now and then ... his penalty concession was a great example of falling asleep, and when he realised Tarkowski had half a yard on him he panicked ... a solid squad player, but not a starter right now, hopefully Tommy can improve him Borthwick-Jackson is a talented kid, and he will get better, but he's still learning and last night would have been tough on him mentally ... he looked very unhappy sat on the bench after being hooked, but I think his long face was due to his performance rather than being subbed ... he will learn from this and he still has a contribution to make Grot is another kid, and facing a Burnley with hardcore donkeys is another learning curve ... Leeds got it wrong playing high balls up to him, made it very hard for him to get in the game ... another thing, the Holland juniors play him wide right, as did his club, and he is a centre forward work in progress ... this kid is going to develop and improve, and like Sacko we have a real talent on our hands Sacko made a huge difference, and his pace scared the living daylights out of Burnley ... he took his goal well, and his turning Taylor inside out was fun to see ... Tommy rates him, and has stated he wants to work with him, so let's be patient and support the lad I was apprehensive ahead of this tie because Dyche has made Turf Moor a fortress, and Burnley are hard and mean ... looking at the Millwall performance, hard and mean seemed to be the last thing Leeds needed to face in a bounce back match, but they passed the test with flying colours ... some more hard and mean tests coming up against Ipswich and Cardiff, but we know that our boys can cope if they're switched on had to laugh at Sky's assessment this morning ... they asked the question did Dyche give up on the League Cup in order to focus on the Prem considering he made seven changes ... basically the point they were trying to make was that Leeds had knocked out a weakened team ... funny how they didn't mention that Leeds made NINE changes ... McInally disagreed with Sky, and said that the Burnley team was a strong one and Dyche wanted the win which is why he threw on Cork, Brady and Wood ... he also said he expects Leeds to be a Prem club next season oh, and fcuk Millwall Radz is God
