The Breakfast Debate

ER was bought outright by Radz company and nothing to do with the club. Therefore GFH have no say in anything Radz wants to do with ER. GFH still hold the debenture but as I have stated on here in the past they are owed an agreed sum for a date in the future. They dont own any shares but any big outlay of cash they have to agree it by law. So a silent partner in name only until something really significant is proposed.

Morning Doc, thanks for the clarification.

Good Morning Everyone

Morning all. Good that ER is back in the club's hands. All we need to do now is increase the capacity whilst now getting promoted asap

Elland Road. Back where is belongs - Thanks to Radrizzani

Radrizzani dipped his hand in his pocket to the tune of 20m, and has bought back Elland Road....

There was no big hoo haa before hand on social media, no spin doctors vying for brownie points and just like our managerial situation a few weeks back - NO LEAKS!!!

Leeds Utd will no longer have to pay 1.7m pa rent, and can instead use that money to good effect - hopefully on the field.

One question that I would like answered - Are GFH still involved, if so do they profit from this?

Shrewsbury Town are seeking to become the first English club to introduce rail seating at their ground.

The League one outfit has applied to have rail seats at the 10,000‑capacity Greenhous Meadow stadium before the end of the 2017-18 season.

EFL Judas executive, Shaun Harvey, said: “This is an important step on the journey towards our stated aim of seeing standing in stadiums across the EFL and I wish Shrewsbury Town every success in reaching their crowdfunding target to support their application.

“The installation of standing accommodation will be popular with the club’s fans and, more widely, will prove a valuable opportunity to assess the use of this form of accommodation at an English football ground.”

Who would want a safe standing area at ER?

Where would it be?

So it's Radz's company that now owns ER, not the club. Got that. But I thought it was only the club that had the right to buy the ground back for the knock down price ? Has Radz simply negotiated a good deal for himself ?

We should find a bit more detail today but looks to be hotting up in Spain:

"Wednesday saw Jorge Puyuelo, a journalist close to Huesca, telling Cadena Cope: “It will be official by the latest Monday.”

But there was still no word from Huesca, who aren’t shy about transfers.

Thursday sees regional Spanish newspaper El Periodico de Aragon, from the region Huesca is in, saying Saiz to Leeds United is ‘pending’. They think it’s happening, for a fee over €3m.

Meanwhile, there’s confusion and anger from some Spanish fans on Twitter, who are annoyed Saiz would choose Leeds United over offers from Spain’s top division.

We won’t translate this exactly, it’s not nice, but the rough meaning is ‘why would a player like him choose Leeds?’

All separate now days,so if say the tax man ever had a claim against the club, they can't touch the ground.

Radz told GFH to fook off and refused to do anything whilst they were involved. He did however see a way around them so bought ER himself (With full knowledge of Leeds City Council) This allows Radz to redevelop the ground and add more revenue to the club, without being held to ransome by GFH. He isnt charging the club rent so the club benefit by £1.7m every year, plus now have full control of all catering at ER which brings in another £4.7m per year. So an immediate cash injection of £6.5m every year. The ground is owned by Radz via an Asser company which is owned by Radz, another Asser company which Radz owns has control of Leeds Utd so in effect radz owns ER and the club just via different owned companies. Just to piss GFH off. When he sells the club at some stage he will sell ground and club so in effect the club valuation is now double/treble what it was worth on Monday

I’m beginning to think it mightn’t be long before rad digs up another 20m and pays Gfh off altogether. Probably wishful thinking in my part though
