Good Morning Everyone,

Former Brighton & Hove Albion and Celtic player Adam Virgo (wasn't he a snooker player?) has taken to social media to tell the world that he thinks Steve Evans would make a great Manager for Peterborough.

Well, so would Pep Guardiola, but guess what?

You ain't getting either...

Thoughts?

Meanwhile, Evans has been speaking to the Express about what he would do if he was sacked. This is what he said:-

“I don’t think annoyance will come into it. Shedding tears would, disappointment would. This is a special club and I love being a part of it. You are very lucky to be associated with it.”

“I won’t have to chase the president – we have a good relationship, we have a difference of opinion which is normal. I have made it clear I want to be here but I won’t stay not wanted. You have to be wanted.”

Leeds United have reported that season ticket sales have gone well in the first week of sales after offering a unique refund if the club failed to reach the play-offs.

Leeds have stated that season tickets sales are double the amount they sold in the first week of sale ahead of this season.

As well as freezing season ticket prices for a third season in a row, Leeds offered fans a minimum 25% refund if the club failed to reach the play-offs if season tickets were purchased before the end of May.

If season ticket sales surpass 15,000 then they will refund 50% of the net season ticket price if they fail to reach the play-offs.

We heard yesterday that teenage sensation Bailey Peacock-Farrell was yesterday offered a new two year deal with the club. What we didn't know if that the youngster (who is being scouted by a number of Premier League clubs) will become a free agent this Summer <yikes>

Yes folks, one of our brightest prospects will be out of contract in a few weeks!!!

Why have the club left it to now to offer him a contract, and why only a two year one?

Even if Bailey signs a two year contract, we will be in exactly the same position (this time next year) that we were in earlier this season with Sam Byram!

Thoughts?

Hope BPF signs a contract extension. We need competition & he certainly is for Silvestri. Cook also needs to be offered a 3 to 4 year extension & a material increase in pay.

So final 2 games. We should be able to win both. Let's hope so & hope that Cellino keeps Evans on for another season or two as a result.

The Irish Bic Lighter

Mick and Paddy were fishing on the Irish shoreline when Mick pulled out a cigar. Finding he had No matches, he asked Paddy for a light.'Ya, sure, I tink I haff a lighter,' Paddy replied and then reaching into his tackle box, he pulled out a Bic lighter 10 inches long.

'My God, man!' exclaimed Mick, taking the huge Bic lighter in his hands. 'Where'd yew git dat monster?''Well,' replied Paddy, 'I got it from my Genie.''You haff a fecking Genie?' Mick asked.'Ya, sure. It's right here in my tackle box,' says Paddy.'Could I see him?'Paddy opens his tackle box and sure enough, out pops the Genie.

Addressing the Genie, Mick says, 'Hey dere! I'm a good pal of your master. Will you grant me one wish?''Yes, I will,' says the Genie. So Mick asks the Genie for a million bucks. The Genie disappears back into the tackle box leaving Mick sitting there waiting for his million bucks. Shortly, the Irish sky darkens and is filled with the sound of a million ducks flying directly overhead.

Over the roar of the one million ducks Mick yells at Paddy, 'What the hell? I asked for a million bucks, not a million ducks!'Paddy answers, 'Ya, I forgot to tell yew dat da Genie is hard of hearing. Do yew really tink I asked for a 10 inch Bic?'

Morning all. Did Evans really need to speak to the express at this time. Big mistake I fear. Should have waited till he knew if he was getting the Leeds gig or not. Maybe he already knows <yikes>also
It's possible Cook won't sign another contract irrespective of what he's offered similar to Byram. Why do people assume it's only a matter of offering the prima donnas more money and they'll sign? He wants pl football and wages same as them all. If he signs anything it'll be short term with get out clauses so not worth the paper it's written on

Both players will see what's on offer I recon, but being under 24 both will be transfer fee's.The keepers the best bet of signing as he's only going to be a reserve at any club better than us.

Morning Eire. Good points.

Evans won't be sacked but he won't be here next season.

People seem to forget the 10 game spell in the season in which we played the most negative football I have ever seen and had about 5 shots in the 10 games

Morning Chesh,

I think in the last 10 games that's changed dramatically and we've had loads of shots on goal albeit most of them off target. Also seem to be winning a lot more corners than we used to.

Agree about Evans not being here next season though, Cannavaro will be head coach and I can't see his philosophy being all out attack
