67% possession I think 26 shots 8 on target.Don't think the midfield or creating chances was the problem.Don't think any team in any league can better that this week, the problem was defending and poor finishing not the rest, like I say show me an away team with better stats.
Evening Shaks. I think the only possible thing Bellusci could have done was head the ball out for a corner. At the time we were 11 against 10, and well on top, he wanted to clear the ball up field to try to win the game. Would have been ambitious for Messi
Evening Doc. Not sure Wood is getting the service. He's not a McCormack, he can't make something out of nothing.
Tho the players he bought were not as good as the youngsters we produced. Remember we had Keane, Fowler etc on the bench
Evening Revolution, I think the current crop are scared of losing. Bringing the u21's on, they'll have no fear, and there is no expectation of them.
Evening Johhny, I agree with Sam's quality and cool finishing. Hate to say it but I reckon when all said and done Bellusci is probably our best central defender.
Chesh, that is a positive spin after a defeat against a team down to 10 men. Not sure whether there's a team or not with better away stats but I can show you at least 13 currently with better overall stats
A really good post until you put the at the end. You see, it just isn't funny any more, Hock getting our squad fit for next season is as likely as it is unlikely and when you realise that, it isn't humorous - unless you support someone else I guess!
You are top dog on here and put loads of work into making this what it is for most of us but please say that was just irony overload. Bellusci is probably our oppositions best player every week regardless of who we play
The point seems to have gone straight over your head, was in response to the Dave not doing the business, and as I pointed out no teams midfield did better.so you think if the defence and forwards don't do there job we should get rid of the midfield.doh.
No, I got the point, I just wasn't responding to the midfield comment just the "stats", which let's face it mean nothing, most important stat was 2-1 however we spin it. Agree that Dave and Bridcutt could form the base of a decent defensive centre mid pairing (could still have better). Need width and pace ahead and not rabbits in headlights behind.
