In regards to the Byram debate the acid test will be how much is reinvested. Top money for a right back that we have beradi who is strong in that area put back into the team could do wonders short term. I don't think we will see that sum come back to strengthen the first team so Cellino prove me wrong please.
No, but we didn't need to start so low and then start dissing him in the press. Cellino is a **** with no idea who to treat people, we are deeper in the **** than under bates because of him.... It's that bad.
You're assuming that Cellino started the conversation. Now if Byram's agent had started the ball rolling by saying something like "Byram's too good for this club. He could get £30k a week easy in the PL. I've already had approaches, so I know that if you don't offer him £30k, he'll walk", would you think Cellino would be more justified? Knowing how agents work, it wouldn't surprise me if that was the preamble to Cellino's offer / outburst.
Could go Stobarts any time I want, but no I am showing loyalty to the company who gave me my first driving job chance.
Chesh, think you've been very unfair on Byram. How many midfielders have scored more goals per game than him - including this season? How many have created more chances? Which midfielder runs into the box more than anyone else? What midfielder wins more headers in the box? I could go on. He was value for money, even off the boil. If you're going to have a go at anyone, there's quite a few who deserve it more than him. How much does Sloth get paid, for instance? Value for money? Bianchi? Botaka? Erwin? ..... We owe Byram nothing, apart from thanks. Personally, I'd never have sold him. And we can forget about the nonsense about West Ham sorting out a deal behind everyone's backs. EVERY club does it. You can't blame them. I don't know why the rules exist, because no-one follows them. Never have. So if they struck a deal, good luck to them.
I gave my loyalty to TSB Scotland for 12 years. What thanks did I get? They made me redundant. Same with Yorkshire Bank. 3.5 years later I was redundant again. Same with IBM. Redundant after 17 years. The message in the employment world is clear for all to hear - look after no. 1. You'd do well to listen. Don't be daft like me. You're a number, Chesh. If they want rid, you don't get a choice, loyal or not. Learn from my mistakes.
At the end of the day, if you are good at your job, your employer keeps you or someone else offers you more money. I had to lay off 6 people from a team of 22 a few years back - and IT was a very easy decision - out went the crap. Unfortunately. Leeds seem to be keeping the crap (Muphy, Bianchi, Mowatt, Sloth, Silvestri, Donkeyourra, Erwin, Bellusci, Bamba etc etc ) and all of your players with the slightest hint of ability eventually gets fed to bigger clubs (Delph, Snodgrass, Howson, Parker, Morison, McCormack, Gradel and now Byram etc etc)
