If the south stand can summon up the energy (apathy has taken over) when we lose the next two he will hear of a protest that makes the anti bates one look like a tea party.

But Bates owned all in one sentance - the protest had absolutely no air time whatsoever, but him calling you morons was published everywhere - Ken Bates at his brilliant best <applause>

Afternoon all.
Grayson is certainly the best manager we have had off that list. His time in charge is one of the few times I can remember enjoying watching Leeds in recent times.
The last ten years have been a hard slog at times and downright depressing at others. The few years Simon took over were a bright spot, the promotion and a couple of good seasons in the Championship.
The only other name that comes close, for similar reason to above, is Dennis Wise. When we were given the minus 15 points penalty I have never seen a club have such a us against the world mentality as we did then.
From the players on the pitch to the supporters in the stands there was a wonderful feeling of togetherness, a cementing of the chant " We're Leeds Utd, we don't give a f**k." It didnt matter which league we were in then, we were doing something that no other team had done. No one expected us to stay up that season, let alone just finish outside the playoffs. A true bright spot in ten+ years of continual darkness.

Best manager - Wise/Poyet, thanks to Poyet though. Wise on his own didn't really have a clue. Excluding them, Grayson. He was getting better at putting out teams to counter the opposition tactically. Problem was, when it didn't work, he didn't really know what to do. Still better than all the rest of them though.

Poyet is currently Manager of Athens, surprised he wasn't snapped up by a lower Prem team or Championship

Good Morning Everyone,

With the emergency loan window slamming shut this Thursday, does Steve Evans have a hope in hell of bringing anything in?

As in previous seasons, could we be leaving it to the last minute?

Why do we always do that?

Is it worth bringing Bridcutt and a-another in?

After Saturdays defeat against high flying <doh> Rotherham, is there anyone who doesn't believe that we are in a dog fight?

Why ow why did we not bring Barton in???

Would somebody with a bit of bite have made much difference?

Charlie Taylor will resume training again today, having recovered from glandular fever.

With Berardi expected to receive a two game ban for violent conduct, you'd think that Evans will have no choice but throw him straight into the starting XI at Loftus Road on Saturday.

Here's a question?

Who has been our best Manager in the last 10 years?

Kevin Blackwell

John Carver

David Geddes

Dennis Wise

Gwyn Williams

Gary McAllister

Simon Grayson

Neil Warnock

Brian McDermott

Dave Hockaday

Darko Milanic

Neil Redfearn

Uwe Rosler

Steve Evans
Evening all. Poor result Saturday. Created enough chances, & certainly more than Rotherham. But scoring remains a big problem. Tlk of Cook being sold for upwards of £10m. Hard to believe after Saturday's performance. But if sides want to battle it out to get his services, £10m for someone who will only get better seems a good deal all round.

On our best Manager, many much of a muchness. So no real view

Sorry mate had three shots. Rotherham had more than that in both halves.

He ain't even a £1mill player. He is just another identikit huffer and puffer.
Why do so many of you keep believing we have all these world beaters.
Not one of our current squad will ever play more than thirty games in the top flight of any major league.

We had 14 shots over the 90 mins. Rotherham had 9. 3 shots each on target.

Do you know how to look up stats, or has TC convinced you that it's easier to make stuff up?

These Stats prove nothing. If you are counting those weak dribbling efforts as attempts on goal I M calling trades descriptions. They had the two best chances and properly worked our keeper.

Are you including Botakas attempt that missed the goal so badly it went for a throw in?

The only time i can remember recently with us playing good football, was under Grayson and i still believe that with the right backing from bates at the time we would be back in the premiership.under Grayson i must admit he never sorted the defence out,we shiped lots of goals, but by eck we were more than capable of scoring a few.so watching was never dull and win or lose, you would have felt you got your money worth.Could anyone watching us now (particularly at home) say that now.I remember losing 6-4 at home to Preston and even more so his reactions to some of the goals scored by Preston,i can still see him kick that water bottle up the touchline like johny wilkinson, talk about passion for our club.Do we see that kind of reaction from any of the managers since? i think not their just their because their out of work and the prestige of managing a club like LEEDS UNITED.

I am Getting sick of people either deluding themselves or making excuses.... That's all.
The team won't get better whilst there is a general acceptance that this is how it has to be...
You know what, it probably is. There's no easy fix that I can see. Cellino can only sell if there's a buyer. If one arrives they will do the usual and borrow or finance everything. Usual scenario. So looks like we may have to accept the current setup for a long time to come

Of course they're here cos they were out of work. It's also the reason some of our players are here too. They'd be out of work only for us

What are you?
Our expert on the subject!
<laugh>
I'm certainly no expert on persuading someone to follow a team! I've recently just been let into the family secret (they didn't know how to tell me!) - it would appear that I've failed miserably to get my grandson to support Leeds. :( Next one is due in May, so will start buying him Leeds merchandise from day 1.
