Totally disagree Taylor will be our left back for a long timeit was because Dallas left that they began to make inroads down the left

Agree with Mike, Taylor is a fixture for me, goal came down the left and that will happen but he will learn from that (if nothing else he will learn to demand more cover in front of him or get Boyd kicked into the stands when you are 1 up with 5 to go)

I didn't say we're not going to have Taylor as LB for a long time. If you've read my posts for the last few weeks you'll have seen me say we need another LB for cover or for competition.

I've also calling for another RM as well

Afternoon Elland

I think Bellusci gets a hard time for very good reason. Used to play Centre Half myself to a reasonable standard and I will tell you three things he did (or didn't do) that I would have got murdered for at Under 18 level never mind adults. First half Boyd runs straight across our area running through half hearted tackles and ends in Kightly narrowly missing - that is Bellusci and Bamba territory to rule. Shortly before the goal, he wins a tackle on the edge of our area and turns to bring the ball away with the man behind him. If he pushes the ball to the right and steps across the man only two things can happen - the striker gives up or fouls him. Instead he ran back towards the centre letting the striker come back at him, pull and tug resulting in a free kick to them on the angle of our box - that is schoolboy and the goal? Well sorry, you cannot possibly have had a good game if you allow a striker a free header 6 yards from goal. Minimum he has to jump with him and use body strength to sap the power and direction that Vokes can get - to crouch down and raise your arm in protection is just awful - personally would never pick him again.

Berardi did ok if you like a full back to jocky and offer the winger the outside all the time but he invites pressure by doing this and plays on the back foot. Compare him with Darikwa who I thought was a beast (reminded me of a young Micah Richards) - he pressed Dallas and Taylor as far up the pitch as possible constantly, I think he would have been a terrific signing for us and would have made Byram even better being pushed up the pitch from the player behind him.

Antennuci, terrific goal but would be twice the player if he varied his decisions a bit - would never offer him a goal target bonus because he plays for himself. Ok, he got a great goal but won't every game and if he opts to shoot or hold the ball instead of passing all the time, he also gives back possession an awful lot.

Doukarra - just don't get what he is supposed to have about him?

Thought we played well overall - lots of neat and tidy stuff and creating 15 chances in a game hopefully bodes well.

Think Dallas will be immense for us. Adeyemi will also be very good. Would like to judge Wood after 10 games - has a really good touch for such a big guy but a bit of a pussy in the air and either lacks confidence, fitness or both.

Finally, if I could have one player from Burnley (apart from Darikwa) I really liked Jones in the centre of their midfield. Quietly efficient and kept things ticking all the time - probably exactly what we need to go with some of our young guns!!

Had a re-consider - would maybe give Bellusci the Doncaster game and swap him round with Adeyemi. Perhaps if he has his indiscretions further up the pitch he wouldn't scare the life out of me so much and could turn out like Tiote the Newcastle player - disruptive and can have his 40 blasts at goal without being half a pitch out of position if it ends in the keepers arms!

Yea but he is our only left back. He will be first choice but we need cover.

And just for the record, I didn't think he played that well against Burnley.

Morning all - I felt Bellusci played well and I totally agree with Doc in regards to what this 19 year old can bring to the table, Bellusci and Bamba together give us the experience we need. Where would it leave Cooper if he is going to be behind Bellusci and a 19 year old loanee?

I was quite pleased with the performance, I am sure we will play better but saying that we didn't play badly against a fancied team. Weakest player by a mile for us was Wood, I hope it was just lack of match sharpness, it was a worry that he couldn't head a ball despite his height.

I thought before a ball was kicked we were good enough for around an 8th place and my own personal opinion on that hasn't changed. In all a big improvement on the first game of last season and still an improvement on the last day of last season.

I see Sam Byram got the official man of the match award from the sponsors.
What did you think about Darikwa I have been on about enough or did I read it in the paper

Can we please try and keep this civilised, I will attempt to explain but without face to face dialogue it can come over wrong...

As far as I remember, the online rumour mill stated we were interested in Darikwa. I also read it in a couple of online papers so I assume the newspapers carried the same rumours. If I use the phrase newspapers I also mean online ones.

I am 99% sure that you nor I or anyone else didn't have much of an opinion on Darikwa before this so did you read our rumoured interest first in a paper, yes.

Did you come to an assumption that he was a good player via the papers, I doubt it because although (in my opinion) you do suggest a lot of players you do seem to have an eye for players who are above average at this level.

I assume you watched some Youtube clips of him in action after the initial interest was reported, so it depends on if your question is did you hear about him and Leeds interest first via the news/rumour mill or did you read about his ability.

Yes you heard about him via the news, no you didn't read about his ability.

Now what did I think about him, he grew in confidence I think he will be a very good signing for them.

Would I prefer:

Option One - Leeds to have signed Darikwa and relegate Berardi to the bench and not address our wide left attacking option.

Option Two - Leeds sign Dallas and not sign Darikwa and leave Berardi at RB

I would prefer option two.

Options one and two very well put and food for thought. Option 3 being a combination of the 2 and I would take that every day of the week, like you I think he will be a very good signing for them (and Dallas will for us too).

I was just doing a search for old posts on Darikwa, I uncovered one posted in June by myself where Rosler in an interview said we are not looking for a RB we have Berardi, Byram and Wootton who can play it. This with other interviews on budgets suggests we are all spent out on the players we did bring in.

Personally a refreshing change that we actually addressed those positions which were more pressing, I would have liked another 2-3 quality signings but being realistic it wasn't going to happen.

Just the fee for Dallas and Wood, you would have said not a chance 18 months ago <ok>

You have not confirmed my email or whatever you call it did you receive it with my details

He did say he got it!

He has now passed it onto the refuse department at Leeds city council, every direct marketing company in Europe, posted it on burglarsrus.com and forwarded it to me. I will be round later to collect that £1000.

Never give your address to anyone on the Internet..... Don't fire back saying "don't tell me what to do". Giving your address to someone you don't know over the Internet is very silly. Ristac could be anyone. ( no offence).

Now we have been rumoured to try getting Liam Moore on a years loan that seems like a very good idea to me got plenty of experience at this level

I can only assume that Wootton will be shipped out. We don't need 6 CB especially i we have the lad from Spurs coming

I did say yes received, but while on the subject...

I never thought for a moment you would send me your address, exactly for the reasons stated by Chippy. In all honesty I wish you hadn't sent me it because if you do receive anything nasty or a nuisance visit then I am going to be a suspect.

I won't and haven't done anything with the address, I have clicked leave conversation, if a moderator would like to access my messages to see that it has been deleted they are more than welcome to do so. Yes I could have copied it down but you have my assurance that I haven't.

I don't want you to send proof, I don't want to have forum battles with you, I will try my hardest to ignore your posts that I find annoying, if you could politely do the same this forum will be a lot less cluttered <ok>
