How have you changed your defense? & By promising, do you means Chris Wood who scored 1 goal in 18 games last season or 4 goals in his last 36 Championship games? OR Lee Erwin who scored 6 goals in 38 games in a mickey mouse league? Exactly how promising do you expect these to be?
yea that Chris Wood who scored 11 goals in 19 games for one of the worst teams ever to be in the championship. Somehow he manged to get them onto good form, incredible really. You wanna have a guess what team I'm talking about?
Indeed he did have 1 good season Josh - and if it weren't for the injury he might have continued in that form. Unfortunately he did get the injury and has not been the same player since - the 4 goals in 38 Championship games were in teams that were scoring for fun in Leicester and Ipswich. That one season where he scored 22 in 38 - either side of that he has only scored 15 in his other 104 Championship games
You being the Oracle of all things Leeds United should know fine what changes we made. Are you really saying that the defence played against Everton played all of last season too? You know you're on a loser with this one, hence your rant about strikers that we've all heard before. And of course, you've probably forgotten that Erwin played in midfield for most of last season, not to mention his goal in front of 50,000 at Ibrox in the high pressure play-off. You might be right about Wood, who knows? However your almost rabid style of writing suggests that you know fine that he's going to be devastating playing in a proper team like ours.

You most certainly are a loser, TC, but then, you know that. Christmas proved to be a bit of a watershed for Leeds. We lost most of our goals leading up to Christmas, but got rid of Pearce & Warnock in the TW & improved enormously after that. Ok, if you want to be pedantic, it was actually 22.95%. So what? The previous month we conceded 2 goals. Didn't see you mention that. It's all about the season's total - not a small period that you choose to pick. The breakdown I supplied showed that the team were quite capable of bringing their average goals against right down with the correct coaching. We'll soon see if we have the correct coaching. Does the rest of the world too, old boy. Didn't you know that? Whatever do they teach you in those schools down south? If you went, that is!
The breakdown also showed that you were not able to keep it down for very long - and it also showed that the personnel used are the same one's you'll have to rely on this season - in fact, it proves that as usual, I am bang on the money - happy to educate
You failed to notice that 2 of the pre-Christmas culprits are no longer with us - Pearce & Warnock. That was when we were at our worst. The future looks bright. Admit it - you can't wait until we get into the PL so you cn come out of your closit.
