Only messin. If I am going to watch em the least I can do is contribute by buying a ticket... I will leave the free loading to those who judging by their financial acumen coupled with the fact the get discounted old fookers tickets shouldn't be taking advantage of freebies!
That's it I won't give him your ticket I'm far to old to be chasing after the likes of him! Of course if he ever admits he's wrong I may consider it!
I truly believe he is allowing Pearson, Rosler and head of recruitment to have a major say in who we sign as long as it is not a winger and that it is a player that suits a certain kind of formation. I also believe that when he appointed Rosler he made it quite clear what style/formation he prefers and Rosler probably agreed. Now I am not saying Rosler agreed to be a yes man, it is most probable that they are both similar in their footballing beliefs and Cellino was happy with this. If Rosler had applied for the job and said I want to play 4-4-2 and that is how I always set my teams up you can bet he would not have been offered the position. I have said it before and I will say it again, so far this season Cellino has hardly put a foot wrong in his appointments (in my opinion), I don't think we have that fantastic game changer, I think we paid over the top for Wood but I accept there isn't a striker out there who we could have got to join us who is better unless we spend an amount that would be unrealistic. I am a little disappointed that it looks like that is it for incoming players, I was hoping for a bit better but at least we were competitive when going after a main target in Wood. So the answer to your question is a devious yes. I believe we will only sign players that fit into the style of play Cellino likes to see and that will be down to the fact that Cellino will only sign coaches who have the same philosophy as him. Just an opinion
Evening All. Didn't Rosler say we were looking for a left winger then our transfer dealings were done. As the squad stands I'm not sure who will be in midfield / attack in a 4-3-3.
Actually, when you put it like that, I can now see the sense in what you say. I'll let you convince Glory, though.
Evening Mike, I reckon Sharp, Moro and Ajose will go, possibly all to Millwall! Sharp has been linked with them, Moro used to play for them and Wall have sold Woolford to the Blunts, so Ajose could come in handy...
Evening Dave pal, If Wood does not work out, we are fooked unless Antenucci hits a bit of form like he did early season. The clubs books balance, for the first time in a long time.
O'Brian their star striker has now injured himself and is out for six weeks. Moro is their preffered option.
Uwe Rosler has spoken highly of youngsters Lewie Coyle, Lewis Walters and Kalvin Phillips as they all look to make an impression on the head coach during the pre-season tour of Austria and Norway. The trio – all products of United’s esteemed Thorp Arch Academy – are part of a 25-man squad currently being put through their paces in Austria in preparation for the new campaign. Phillips, 20, has two first-team appearances to his name having broken through for his debut in April earlier this year, while Coyle and Walters are both pushing for a chance with the senior team after becoming regular fixtures for the Under-21s in recent seasons. Rosler said: "Coyley, Kalvin and Lewis Walters are three young players in a first-team environment with an opportunity to impress and to learn. "They can show high energy to put established players under pressure and that is what they’re doing. "They’re impressive. I like what I see – I hope they continue." All three could be involved for Tuesday night’s friendly with Eintracht Frankfurt, but Rosler has confirmed that striker Chris Wood will not start as a precaution and is instead targeting a place in the team for Saturday’s friendly against Hoffenheim. "The only little bit of negative news is that Chris is still having this nerve problem – but it’s not a muscular problem," the head coach said. "At this time of the year, there is no point in risking players. "It’s a little bit irritating for the player because he wants to play and he wants to get fit. But I think we’ll still get him fit and get him ready." Asked about the players who didn’t make the pre-season tour – namely Nicky Ajose – Rosler said: "I feel we have certain areas where we have too many players. "I think to be honest to players is the best way to be. "We had a good chat with each other. I just said to Nicky that he would find it hard to get regular playing time. "I wanted to concentrate on the players who are in my plans going forward into the season. "He’s stayed at home, he’s training with the Under-21s and he’s trying to sort out his future. I think that is the best thing for the player and for us."
