Afternoon all, I cant wait for the season to be over, I have lost count how many times I have felt that way with plenty of matches still to go.

That pitch was dreadful, it would have been the perfect excuse and time to rest the younger lads.

I am starting to wonder if Redders has some kind of agreement in place in regards to his new contract, win 'x' amount and you get a contract maybe?

On another note did Adam get home okay or is he still stuck on a train somewhere (tweet I read).

http://www.footstats.co.uk/index.cfm?task=Leagues use the drop downs to select season and date, take note that this time last year we had played 3 less games <ok>

    After 39 games we were:

    15th won 13 drew 8 lost 18 scored 52 conceded 59

    Compared to now...

    13th won 14 drew 10 lost 15 scored 43 conceded 47

One interesting stat - Last year after 39 games we were averaging 12.38 shots at goal 31.26 were on target

This year after the same amount of game we are averaging 11.64 shots at goal 30.88 on target placing us 3rd from bottom in the league.

Thanks Ristac. Basically were five points better off than last season with four goals better goal difference. All in all, not too bad after the level of restructuring the club has seen

If we had a prolific scorer this season it would have been even better. Just a shame so many of the new signings haven't been seen or had a chance to make a lot of difference, we seem to be better at the back but not the front and new strikers don't come cheap. Taylor, Mowatt and Cook have made a difference, we need a striker version of them to break through.

Evening all. Not great on Saturday but a rubbish pitch matched only by a less than wonderous performance. But with top 6 now unlikely, time to play a few of the squad

Something BIG is happening on the ownership front. Genting and his cronies are busy denying rumours they are buying the club. But someone started the rumour. Our chief executive officer has resigned only three months after getting the gig with much fanfare. Both club and individual are refusing to elaborate.......

Mark my words something is going on.....

Perhaps Walters could be that striker? Not sure if he predominantly plays wide or not but it sounded like he was on the cusp of breaking through before his injury in pre-season. I think Antenucci could be a 15-20 goal a season striker but he looks best in a two, and our midfield works best in a five...

    Matt Childs resigns

    http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....-resigns-as-chief-operating-officer-1-7170946

LEEDS UNITED chief operating officer Matt Child has resigned - after last than three-and-a-half months in his role at Elland Road.

The life-long United fan stepped down from his current position this morning. Neither Child or the club are making any official comment on the developments.

Child arrived at the club on December 12 from the telecommunications industry, having held senior positions in private equity backed companies.

Upon taking up his role back in December, Child spoke of his pride at being handed the position, saying: “It’s clichéd but I’m genuinely honoured to represent the club.

“The opportunity to deliver value to your hometown team and city doesn’t happen that often, if at all, so when I was asked to step in, there was only one answer.

“I have been involved for a few months behind the scenes and have been hugely impressed by the president’s passion, commitment and will to win.

“We find ourselves in interesting times, but as a Leeds fan I know only too well that we are often at our best when we have adversity.”

Speaking after the appointment of Child, Cellino said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Matt Child as our new Chief Operating Officer.

“Matt will take immediate responsibility for the management and development of the day to day business.

“It is vitally important that we protect and enhance the future of the club and develop the most effective ‘off field’ team that we can.”

Sick of this off field **** to be honest.

I just kinda wish if there had to be these off field antics that it didn't filter down to fans until its actually happened.

They're not a bad topic to debate during the International breaks though.
