The prosecution basically never presented a strong case, and failed to ask a number of important questions, which makes you think Pistorius was always going to be cleared of murder due to his status as a national hero:

First thing if you think there is danger, wake your girlfriend, tell her to call security while you go and check ... why did you not do that? Because you knew she was not in the bed, and there was no danger.

Surely if you feel there's danger, you warn your girlfriend right away so she can get to safety ... you did not do this ... why? Because your intention was to kill her, there was no intruder.

When you got to the bathroom and saw the bathroom door was locked, why did you not ask the person behind the door to identify themselves? Because you knew who was behind the door.

You fired four shots perfectly placed at where she was positioned. How did you know where to aim? You spoke to her.

You fired four shots, not one only as a warning, why? Because it was your intent to kill.

Strange how the prosecution never asked these questions, never followed this obvious line ... it just smells bad

Nah, he was treated very lightly by the prosecution, and it left the judge with little choice but to dismiss the murder charges. Complete joke really, firing a gun is a very mind focusing experience, so you know exactly what you're doing when you fire four shots!! Cold blooded, chauvinistic killer who may just dodge justice completely.

The key thing now is four shots ... if he fired one shot fear can be argued, and intent to scare the "intruder", but four shots is all about killing ... he knew he was killing "someone", and should be getting 15 years plus the sentences for the gun charges, so in effect should be staring at 20-years plus ... something just doesn't sit right though

Totally agree OJ got off because money talks justice walks and this is the same scenario with Pristorius if I were her parents I would invest in a hitman!

Pistorius will not go to prison, he is going to get house arrest ... judge has said that when he fired four shots through the door he did not think they would be fatal, well that is ridiculous ... I say again, this trial has been rigged to keep him out of jail, but he had to be found guilty of something where the sentence could be extremely lenient ... unbelievable!!!!

My thoughts exactly, Billy. And yet another signal of leniency is that he has not been remanded in custody. Quite ludicrous to allow a convicted killer to remain free whilst awaiting sentence! He's going to walk (if you'll pardon the pun).
