Morning all ... big trouble ahead, don't understand why GFH refuse to pay wages, claiming they have a contract with Cellino for six months from end of January in which Cellino agreed to cover wages ... surely that contract is dead after FL ruling, ah wait, unless GFH feel its still in play while Cellino appeals FL ruling ... regardless, what I don't understand is how the FL can still ALLOW those useless, money chasing whores at GFH to remain as owners of Leeds ... what if Cellino loses his FL appeal, and GFH decide to keep the club for a future prosective moneybags owner to buy, run us on a shoestring that sees us become a steady, mid-table League One club, struggling to stay afloat ... will the FL be seen as genuinely following their blueprint for developing and sustaining their clubs?

And now it's really time to stop mindlessly blaming McD ... if you really do know anything about football, squads and an unstable workplace ....................

Leeds United's players have agreed to defer part of their wages for March, Professional Footballers' Association chief executive Gordon Taylor has told BBC Radio Leeds.

The players were due to receive their wages on Friday, but only the general members of staff were paid.

"Arrangements are in place with regards to payment and there is going to be some proportion of wages paid today and more next week," he said. "The players are OK with it." He added: "Leeds is a big club with a large fan-base and we have no reason to believe that things won't be sorted in the near future.

"I'm hoping that administration can be avoided."

Morning everyone <ok>

I was dreading opening this up this morning and seeing colossally bad news everywhere. I hope that the staff (not Haigh etc, groundsmen, tea ladies and so on) got paid first before the players got their hands on their "part".

Following is an email that has been sent this morning to Andy Williamson, Chief Operating Officer of the Football League;

Mr. Williamson,

Further to the recent rejection by the Football League regarding Mr. Cellino’s proposed takeover of Leeds United, we urgently call upon them to ensure that they will do everything within their power to honour the duty of care to Leeds United as one of their member clubs.

We understand that as part of the process regarding a change in ownership, Leeds United have provided the Football League with detailed financial plans and proof of funds going forward. Further to the decision that they have made, we are sure that the Football League will be aware of the financial impact that this will have on Leeds United and therefore we demand that they take every available action open to them in order to ensure that they act in the best interest of their member club and do all that they can to ensure financial stability is maintained. With reports in the press today suggesting that Players have not been paid, this action needs to be swift in order to avert a major crisis.

Whilst we understand that the Football League has not caused the situation that Leeds United find themselves in today, they have contributed to the outcome and do have the power and responsibility to act in order to protect their member club rather than punish them. Clause 16 of the Football League Regulations sets out the parameters within which we expect them to act in order to ensure financial stability remains however, should this prove unsuccessful we would expect leniency to be applied when considering any actions under clause 12.3 as we believe the current situation should be classed under Force Majeure.

Your Faithfully,
Gary Cooper
Chairman
Leeds United Supporters Trust

Maybe now people will begin to realise how serious things really are. That includes fans, players, football league even GFH. For too long, too many, even a few here seemed to be in a sort of denial, ah its all rumours and it'll work out in the end. It's now obvious to everyone how much doo da the club is actually in and surely as adults, some serious banging together of heads will now happen. Whatever it takes, the club cannot be allowed disintegrate any further
