Eire, we certainly aren't going to make auto this year. The best we can hope for is play offs. Going forward to next year, I maintain that 3 to £5m will be enough to see us challenging for autos. I take your point on what happens if Ross gets injured. But that's the cas for everyone. If I had my choice I'd love Beckford back. In a 442 with wingers, he'd push Ross hard for top goalscorer next season. Can't see it happen. But you never know. Not sure about Hunt. He needs to show soon why he should be retained. Otherwise, maybe time to move him on in the summer. On Poleon, he's a work in progress. Maybe a loan spell at the start of next season to give him game time, or kep him at Leeds and let him push for a starting spot.
Baffles me too, someone pointed out our wage bill is £2m a month - Must be directors and boardroom draining it, Pugh, Brown, White, Varney, Dury, Norris, Diouff, Hunt, Green - even if they were averaging £9k a week that's only £390,000 a month.
Too many academy players getting a run that imo aren't good enough for us. Lees is terrible gets bullied by attackers. Mowatt has been massively over rated by the Leeds fans so slow for a young lad Poleon isn't ever going to be good enough and same should be said about Taylor and Thompson if they where going to be good enough they would be their now. Ive made this point many a time. With every takeover, the numbers of directors continue to grow. These guys have proved they are not on board for the good of Leeds United, they need paying. Combine that with expense accounts that see them flying around the world willy nilly and you get an idea where money could be going. A prime example, I have some Celtic supporting mates who also wonder sometimes about why they don't make greater profits. 45k home gates, buy shrewdly and CL league money every season, wages not much if any higher than ours in most cases yet they struggle to break even most seasons. They have a fair few guys in suits also being damn well paid Im sure

I was watching the Derby vs QPR match the other night because I had a bet riding on it (the bet lost ) anyhow, it was like watching a different league compared to our performances. We need 10 million+ to resurrect our chances any time soon. The Championship isn't full of hoofball merchants like us. The top 4-5 teams have four or five quality players who are probably worth a couple of million a piece. What would 3-4 million get us? 1 player! Just one player isn't going to solve our problems and spending 3-4 million on 5-6 players and we are just repeating the same mistakes. I think it's time to take the rose tinted glasses off and realize we are here for another 4-5 seasons unless Cellino really digs deep and I mean deep. cheers
We are stuck with Dawson cos Warnock gave him a 3 year deal. Can't understand why Brian hasn't let him out on loan though, and he is captaining the reserves so obviously doing something right
This season is now over for us, due to having nearly 3-months of garbage results dropping us from 5th to 12th. Yes we won 2 games but one of them was without Brian? why can't the players show the same heart and commitment now? The top 5 will not change as even Forest are 12 points ahead of us which leaves only Reading to attack for the 6th spot. But to get there we are involved in a mini-league with another 4 clubs including Blackburn, Wigan, Brighton and Ipswich. The teams below us are not involved and nothing to worry about for now, although they are capable of replacing us in 12th if we keep dropping points. This season that promised so much has turned into the worst experience we've had for years. If the Italian gets to buy us and he shows what he's all about, then we fans will live in hope for next season, but too many clubs and points to catch up and are we better than Reading? I don't think so with this squad.

Will he spend it probably YES!! But will he listen to his manager and buy the right players NO!! If Cellino gets that last point right and supports his manager and leaves him to do his thing youll do ok next season Just cant see him doing it though
