BMcD " I met the guy and Friday and we had a long chat, its a difficult deal to get over the line ...." So our manager has had a meeting with an unnamed striker, but the rumors are coming in at Luke Moore, Liroy Lita .....both shyte as far as I'm concerned but Danny Graham is now doing the rounds on a few social media sites and the bookies. Danny is a player we know as we had him on loan for a couple of games years ago. He's a Sunderland player but on loan to Hull who have just brought in 2 new strikers. Complicated deal because he will have played for 2 clubs this season and would need to structure a short term deal with aview to signing him in the summer.

I prefer Graham to the other 2 but is he good enough as he's failed at Sunderland and Hull. Nhaki Wells a player we were supposed to be after plays for his new club twice and scores twice. When was the last time a loan signing worked out well at Leeds? It seems they come to us and then play out of their skin for their own club.

Max Gradel, Eric Lichaj and Alex McCarthy are the only loans that did well for us that I remember recently. O and Gary Mcheffrey LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Exactly Kissa, and when you think about the number of loanees we've had (Because we dont buy) it tells you something. Eric was great and made it into the Villa side but is on loan elsewhere, we had the 2 spuds players who will both go to the world cup but were not good for us. macSheff I didn't rate, Barry Bannan I did.

Stewart is the latest and so far so bad and jimmy Kebe is 3 years older than when he did the stuff for BMcD and as yet is also crap. All I will say is that Ryan Hall must have been crap

Never have and never will understand why people would chose to support a club that is not local to them - whether they are Surrey based Man Utd/Liverpool fans or even fans from different countries - why attach yourself to a club that's hundreds/thousands of miles away unless you are a "glory-hunter".
Can understand it if you or your families origins are from that area (then its in your blood) but these fans that have no right to support a team miles and miles away are pure plastic <ok>

Thank you! <cheers>

Gwyn Williams - Not at bad as we thought

Luciano Beccho. Signed from Spanish Segunda B side Merida for £200,000, scored 76 goals in 190 League appearances for Leeds, sold to Norwich City for £250,000 plus Steve Morison at then-manager Neil Warnock's request.

Jermaine Beckford. Signed from non-League Wealdstone for £30,000, scored 72 goals in 126 League appearances for Leeds, left for Everton.

Bradley Johnson. Signed from Northampton for £250,000, 117 League appearances, left for Norwich.

Robert Snodgrass. Signed as a free agent after leaving Livingston, became club captain and full Scotland international, sold to Norwich for £3m plus performance-related variables.

Williams also revamped Leeds academy during his term as technical director, developing Sam Byram, Tom Lees and Alex Mowatt as first-team players. A number of academy players were poached by Chelsea and Manchester City with Williams work resulting in unprecedented compensation payments totalling £5.75m for five schoolboys. Of other academy players sold to Premier League clubs, £8.5m was raised on Fabian Delph's sale to Aston Villa, £1.2m on Danny Rose's to Tottenham, and £700,000 for Luke Garbutt's to Everton.

Williams also signed Adam Clayton from Manchester City for £25,000, before he was sold to Huddersfield for £600,000.

Max Gradel was recruited from Leicester for £150,000, scored 25 goals in 78 League appearances, and was sold to Saint-Etienne for an initial fee of just under €2m. Kasper Schmeichel was signed from Notts County on a free transfer then sold to Leicester for £900,000 a season later.

Williams was dismissed by Leeds managing director David Haigh last year and is currently suing the club for unfair dismissal. Sunderland manager Gus Poyet has proposed him as the North East club's new director of football.
