Allegations are not surprising but what will the FL/Prem do about Puncheon? Is this "bringing the game into disrepute?"
Jonny, serious foul play to me. If the ref got that wrong from where he is standing he wont be getting many more games. Hope im wrong, but the game is not the same game I grew up playing.
Why all the fuss about the sending off? We were thrashed and would have been anyway. As for losing Smith, he's not Messi you know. Anyway the appeal will sort it. There was a lot more wrong Saturday without worrying whether Smith should or shouldn't have gone
old punchys a loose cannon isnt he? That penalty miss though Wouldnt shock me if what he said is true though. The Gray signing he made at the start of his cornwall pre season, what the hell was that all about?
From his position he may have thought the elbow was out. In fact, Smith's arm appears to be flat against his side. I don't think Probert could see it properly, made a reasonable assumption which was ultimately incorrect. I am not being biased here, I frequently support ref decisions against us.
As much as I hate using him as an example Old red nose was on the verge of being sacked his first season. We all have applauded Mcdermott at some point since he took over. I would like to think the majority of us still think he is the man for the job, given the time.
Not more else we can debate about the Shef Wed game, I think we all know we were second best everywhere! Pearce was the only one that seemed commited but even he didnt play good enough. And is MZ the next O'Brien? Got his contract as is going down hill? He hasnt looked good at all in the last few games.
Hope your right and LUFC present that arguement. They must think they have a chance or they wouldnt appeal
I like McDermott, but like the team nobody is above criticism. Playing two wing backs and throwing in two brand new wingers without a target man in complete madness. No knee jerk reaction from me though, he is still the man for the job for me.
Funny how MZ has gone from Zaliukas to Zaliuseless in one game. That back heel he played inside his own box which went straight to a Wednesday player just summed up his couldn't care less attitude since he signed his extended contract.
Not a sending off for me. Clumsy, careless maybe. Had his shoulder caught johnsons shoulder the ref probably wouldn't have give a foul. He did catch him on the head though, so he left himself open to the ref's discretion. Yellow for me, would have had to lead with the elbow for it to be red.
