On the face of it, you're right, Eire. But when you look at what he inherited, it's clear that he simply made better use of the resources available. BM has been left with a turd, and no matter what he does, it doesn't seem to polish up for some reason.

Hope you're right, but given the lack of quality signings, it would take twenty years to rebuild the squad. It'll never happen under Haigh. Sooner or later we will need an owner with very deep pockets

IF we get 2-3 players in through the door during this window it will make or break BMcD - After he splashed the cash for Murphy who has been a disappointment and wasted a wage on Hunt the next few need to count.

I don't personally believe Wootton cost £1m but if he did Brian has spent far more than Grayson and Warnock were ever given, BMcD has already brought 6 new players in so we can't keep blaming the other guys.

I have lost a bit of faith in the manager but agree he should be given more time.

Hunt had been playing with an injury for the last 8 months or so. He has assured us, he will be better then he was at the beginning of the season.

    Wootton seems solid.

Zuliukas, even though nobody can spell his name, seems to be the freebie of the season.

    Murphy - Hmmmmm.....

When Hunt came on we played the worst football of the whole game and that's saying something, now I'm not blaming Hunt for that, it could have just been a coincidence. Wootton was clueless in that match, although when he first joined the club I thought he was decent enough.

In all fairness, I cant remember anyone saying Murphy was a poor signing when we first got him. Everyone seemed well chuffed that we had managed to get him.

Ristac, you dont own a white van and live in Bugbrooke by any chance?

I think part of the problem is with BMcD is that he looks to the future and brings in youth with potential. Murphy a case in point was destined for big things but as yet blows hot and cold. wootton was an under 21 international with stacks of potential and in fairness has proved a decent buy as he's better than Lees most of the time. We do seem to have a solid group of centre halfs now with Marius Z.

Mowatt has been played too much and its catching up with him, just like it did with the other young kid last season. Sam Byram is either crocked or fooked as well and we need to know whats happening with him too. So although youth is great it has to be used with care, otherwise we end up wityh them all out injured, tired or worse as we seem to have now!

I know BMcD hasn't got a real squad as theres too many has-beens around. But whay couldn't he have given the likes of Hunt a game against Rochdale and told them they were all last chance saloon. Why not play them and at the same time tell the world your bringing in new players. Morale is half the problem at the club I think because its not been handled properly

Own a van but not in Bugbrooke although I did drive through there on Saturday.

Agree we didn't feel Murphy was a bad signing, we knew little of him and trusted the manager on it, we assumed that the manager with his good scouting pedigree had spotted someone who would make a difference. Like any Leeds player we give them a chance be it a free signing or costly one. Now he has played half a season you have to question is this the best he can play and if it is what was the manager thinking...

I've not been a fan of Murphy myself so far, but it just occurred to me that he might be the real deal that isn't able to do his job right 'cos he's covering for the mistakes of others. Just a thought ...

Why does everyone keep saying Warnock didn't spend money. If you include the 2m (thats what becchio was valued at at the time) for Morison he spent 5.5m and thats being conservative. McDermott hasn't spent anywhere near that

I went to get a drink, came back and Poleon was on the pitch. Just assumed Hunt got subbed off for Poleon coz I had no idea where Hunt was even when the camera panned out to the whole pitch...
