Afternoon all. So Celtic win the SPL with something like 10 games to go. Anyone know the earliest any English titles has been won, including the Championship, L1 or L2? Just shows how much of a mickey mouse league the SPL really is
I'm not 100% sold on the owner(s) or their intentions. We still don't own our ground, I say let's go up, get the big payment and call their hand. If we blow the promotion money on paying off the likes of GFH and buying the ground back before flipping us to an owner with long term intentions I'll take that and if we go back down with parachute payments so be it. I know what you mean though regarding promotion, I just can't see us being any nearer next season, quite a bit of rebuilding will be in order with loans going back and holding on to Wood is surely impossible if we stay down.
I don't believe we're ready or good enough for the PL but a season in it will be welcome. I don't believe this new owner has long term intentions, get us up and sell us for profit is my belief. Hopefully an early sale to a super rich Chinese investor who is willing to invest big
I'd rather we see what happens in the PL, sign up the loanees and keep Wood than stay in the Championship and start again from scratch We've been stuck down here long enough
Next season will be a comedy show with Cellino and Raddy being the top of the bill duo those 2 really are chalk and cheese should be interesting actually when I say chalk and cheese I think maybe Tom & Jerry more like with Raddy wanting to invest and do things his way and Cellino wanting to do fook all and take all the credit
When we're in the PL next season I hope we don't finish in the top 4 cos it'll be well embarrassing getting hammered in the Champions League the season after
Agree, it's odd, was ok to play for Sweden. Seems to me he may have pulled a sulk when told Cooper would be starting with this 'hamstring problem' on the morning of the game. Be interesting to see just how water tight this pre-agreed contract is at the end of the season. As for the game, didn't see much in it, yes Reading kept the ball for drearily long periods of time, but ultimately we lost due to a piss poor defensive header from CT.
Mate, we can be top or bottom of any league you like and, you know who will have a downer on it so maybe as well go up and get beat, at least we'd all have a reason to moan - hashtagnoprogress
