I was talking more of the games England are involved in, the other team always seem to get their tactics spot on, and England don't. At least that's always the reason given as to why England haven't won. Could it be maybe that the other teams are better and England simply aren't good enough? Just a thought.

It caused us problems all game, but the first goal was a lack of marking from a set piece and the second was contributed to by a ball watching centre half. Setting us up as hodgson does, we're always going to be vulnerable at the back, not helped by the fact our defenders aren't world class. It's the price you pay for an attacking set up, and we had a go, played some good stuff and over the 90 mins were unlucky to lose against a good side. Not sure what complaints people can have really.
Well listening to Andy Townsend you'd have thought they should just hand the trophy to England and not bother playing any games. Here's a new one, how about if England as a country produced better individual players, you know, like defenders who can actually defend, then maybe 'tactics' kind of take care of themselves to a certain extent, and maybe then England would become the better team. I just don't get the temerity of these Johnny Foreigner types having better players and tactics than England...it's just not on you know

England are underperforming compared to Uruguay, population 3.3m and ranked 6th in the world I think. Or you could look at it as Uruguay over performing
